Interesting links. That 59mph average seems achievable.................
If it's fine with road pedals and 170mm cranks then it'll be even less likely for pedal strike on track bikes with raised BBs and 165mm cranks - I guess?

How will he get on with no stops for checkpoints?

I might like to watch the spectacle that will be the 'sprint finish'
Fingers crossed they race anti-clock

You think there will be a group which stays together!?
-

There'll be drafting with precision down to millimetres, so at the end it'll be peloton groupé. Natch.

I see HoKe's name on the list, and I enjoy riding with him. But I don't want to put my name on the list because it'll make me look like [more of] a tosser.
Dilemma. -

Not to anyone that matters. If you want to race - do it.

There's a ride there this Sunday. People are meeting at 11:00 and someone is leading out a group from the Tokyo Fixed shop at 10:00.

I went out on Sunday for a blast. There are some corners, but they aren't that tight and the track is much wider than I thought it would be. Even in damp conditions the surface seemed pretty grippy and I didn't get anywhere near pedal strike. I was using 46x14 and it felt good to me. Looking forward to this!
Just got the email about this through TFG mailing list. Does sound like it'd be fun but with my knee in it's current state there's no chance of me entering, particularly if there's no brake to help me out, haha. I have a feeling, as events go, it may be a little undersubscribed.
