  • Maybe wait till Chris is back complete with lederhosen, or it has definitely been recce'd then... always good to have two people on a ride that know the route.

  • By then you are in to October and increasingly wet weather. Ludwig knows this one.

  • Think he has also gone in search of lederhosen...

  • we could do WGC but i want some HILLS (having missed out last time). The Sainsbury climb needs to go on Strava though

  • We've done 2 hilly ones on the bounce. WGC or the ill fated Potters Bar have some rolling sections.

  • Oi Ben upload last time's strava thing, just wanted to see what route did we take etc.

  • sorry amey, lemme get my gizzarmin out.

  • you could take the 20 mins train to stevenage from kings cross then head out to codicote, kimpton, whitwell, preston etc and take in the hills and quiet roads there...

  • I'm keen to stick to a 'traditional' route this time as the last couple have been a little ad hoc for my liking. Looking to keep control as the front and be sure everyone gets a nice spin in. Including myself, for once

  • ad hoc? they were just new routes, same way all the others got there.

Not going to happen. When he left his Garmin with us last time we bunged it out the train window and gave him a pocket calculator back instead. He hasn't noticed yet and, in fact, get lost less frequently now.

  • ^ what can I say: I've lost GPS navigation but at least this thing has a solar powered battery. throws garmin charger in the bin

  • ad hoc? they were just new routes, same way all the others got there.

okay i (completely selfsishly) mean* 'i wasn't certain where we were going'* as opposed to my usual *'not that way ludwig' *style :)

  • Boo!

    Ahem

We were going on the ride..... As planned and painstakingly mapped by Des.
You were going to the back of the peleton waving impatiently to the neutral service vehicle... Then the broom.
