  • The tales of the Tour de Ludwig were most entertaining.

  • subbed

  • is there one on this Tuesday?

  • I was just going to ask the same thing!

  • No ride this evening no, but the route for next week will be up tomorrow. Keep an eye out!

  • Boo!

  • Hmmm... I've just had a thought, there are olympic restrictions on travelling with a bike on any service at any time from this week. We'll have to die out and back... sounds like ROTFL territory to me.

  • Boo!

Richmond Park, we can take a picnic.

  • or Killing me softLea, weather is noice enough for that (needs to be dry)

  • I think it depends a lot on the operator - southern and south eastern are the most restrictive, followed by south west - but going out east, north or west is probably not quite so tricky

  • Potters Bar will prob be ok too.

  • There's no bikes allowed at all on the trains to Kent 1/2, Effingham junction in theory is ok, but tbh I'd say the chances of jobsworth guard intervention is high so probably best to give it a miss. So... Chingford E4 or Potters Bar look the safest bet. I'd like to have a go at the Killing me Soft Lea as i didn't do it last year. but we'll need someone to lead it...

So, I'll put up KMS and we have the more familiar E4 as back up as they are both Chingford starts...

  • I know that there are several garminators aboard, but I recall this route being rather complicated and involving towpaths, etc. Does anyone actually know the route?

  • I dont suspect we'll have any problems. I'll recon on Sunday or of an evening this week.

  • Avoid the pothole path by the A104, Avey Lane, single file on the B195 to Lower Nazeing, loop around the lions, Wharf road to the canal, Gunpowder Park, Mott Street, Lipitts, Bury Lane.

    Don't tell the lions.

  • I'll be in Wales.
Have fun. I'll join you on the next one.
