+1..... I'd ask if you could try it for size, and i'm sure the seatpost could be un-stuck....
-

I've put in contact with him. He said me that he is 1'88 meter size, but maybe the bike is a little bit small for him.
Also he said "My inside leg measurement is 32inches/80cm"
I'm not sure what does it mean.
But my measurement from the groin to the floor is 85 cm more or less... is it the same measurement?

groin
-
• #405
Yeah, that's your inside leg.
-
• #406
Yeah, that sounds like the same measurement, for polo you want a bike thats a bit smaller than the size you normally ride, it looks from the photo that its the right sort of size...
-
• #407
what about the price? do you think is alright?
-
• #408
Seems a little expensive when a quick trip to chester and £75 could get you this:

For less money in Trafford:

so maybe I should see it, try and compare with the rest of bikes I used yesterday to see if it fit to me.
If I'm right rob works in a bikes shop? Maybe I can go there and see if they can un-stuck the seat post.
if don't, do you know any other place or anybody who can help me?

There are ways to loosen a stuck post. You can try soaking it in oil, you can even take out the bottom bracket and poor oil down the seat tube from the inside. With a steel frame you can also resort to heating the frame with a flame to make the metal expand.
You might be lucky, you might not. It's a bit or a risk and if it does not work then the rest of the bits of the bike aren't really worth the £50 they are asking for it.

Almost. I've got a bunch of tools and stuff so can hit it with a hammer until it comes out. The singlespeed is ready to go as a cheap polo bike so might be best if the seatpost isn't a problem. Go ride it and see.

Im still looking for proper bike for polo
http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/ju...-bike/97625228look cool I think
-
• #413
I think that might be 24" wheels...?
-
• #414
Yeah, but it's a jump bike so slack head and seat tube angle. If you try a quick go on mine and then a quick go on Robs bike you can see how this really impacts on handling.
It looks more 26" to me but a quick mail would answer the question.

• #415
24" wheels is not a good one?
-
• #416
Probably a bit too small, no reasons you can't use them though.
-
• #417
Not as common a size. More used for dirt jump riding to keep you nice and low for balance. Small wheel is never going to be good when playing in goal.

What about the other one?

Can it be fixed easy? it is cheaper and don't need to go to Chester... -

He has answered me. It is 26" and still available

It'll weigh a tonne and you'd want to get new forks and convert to singlespeed. I reckon the other one is more suitable if it ain't too big.

ok :)

It's already single speed and horizontal dropout, Rob. Agree on the fork but it's not that much worse than mine or Emyrs.

The large picture of the rear mech makes me think otherwise

it looks ok though, already got vbrakes, could swap that to a dual lever easy and im sure bike boutique could get the setpost free, if my bike got nicked or something and i ad to get a cheap replacement thats the kind of thing i would get
