  • has the idea ever been brought up of us making our own court? was looking through some london threads the other day and found one (can't remember which) where people were talking about finding an unused piece of land, getting permission from the council to use it, then filling in holes/putting up barriers etc. was chatting to chucklebruv last night and he had some ideas of places... just a thought like.

you talking about whit coz that's the most obvious option, which is really good btw, but there may be other better places we could use (with a bit of renovation)...

  • From the other thread:

    'MHPA' - Meeting Report

Last night Chan, Marek, Ben, Rich and myself ran through a preliminary assessment of where Manchester polo is and where we want it to be in a year's time. It was a very useful and positive session - I'm still very keen that all those who wish to contribute their thoughts do so before we try and wrap it up in a simple and cohesive plan of action. Anyone who wants to meet me to air their views - can they set a date to meet at the Sand Bar or PM me.

The next steps - we plan to publish a planning document to be made available to all existing Manchester polo players by September 1st. Then we will have another period where Manchester players can assess, improve or heckle the ideas and actions, before we start actioning the plan.

Thanks for your support to date.

  • what i mean is, maybe the council would be more likely to give us a piece of derelict land, to use as a permanent court, rather that an existing court which they could renovate themselves and make available to everybody.
looking at the courts they've built in berlin, it seems this would be viable.
