what are the stars next to the names for?

can people get to mine before 6 to make mallets? might take a while and then polo might not happen.

6 is good for me... can we do a quick list of equipment that we still need to make mallets then it can be got before tomorrow night.

does anyone have a countersink? also does anyone have plastic wall plugs? and a selection of small bolts?and screws...?

AFAIK we have a drill/drill bits, i have a fulls size hacksaw & calipers to measure stuff... and don't forget Rupert has 2 Hammers...!

#1 Lack of gold star != lack of contribution.

Gold stars only represent those who have donated in the last 4 months who I have been able to identify.

However, even as time goes on this is not a basis for viewing those without stars negatively as some people have made donations of £100 prior to this system, and yet the minimum donation to get a gold star is only £5. So some people without stars have actually financially contributed far more than those with.

#2 Financial contribution is not the only contribution

big daddy wayne has helped with each round of shirts. anselm helps with party venues. tynan helps with artwork. The list goes on and is lengthy, and gold stars only recognise a financial donation and not the other types of contributions that are vital to the forum.

#3 There are more ways to financially contribute than a donation

Such as purchasing a T-shirt, that may well net a higher level of contribution than a £5 donation, but doesn't get you a gold star (you got a shirt instead).

#4 You don't have to donate

Those who can afford to and want to are encouraged to, but anyone who cannot afford to, or who simply doesn't want to should not be forced to. Donations are voluntary and not compulsory.

I'll come straight from work, with all my stuff. Does anyone have any normal size abs left? (the 2" standard yellow stuff)

I like to make 2 new mallets; one uber mallet with the new caps and 1.5" pipe and one normal mallet non-capped for ball jointing/dragging.

I've got a countersink and some wall plugs and loads of screws - don't know if they're suitable.

Here's what I have if any of this helps:

Hack Saw
Files
Countersink
wall plugs
loads of screws
some nuts, bolts and washers
......No hammer

But I guess Roo's got the drilling covered with his 'bay find.

Just bagged a free skate helmet from Freecycle, thought it might be handy for us to have a communal spare in case anyone needs for tourneys etc.... it's in Whalley Range, is there any chance someone who doesn't have anything to do tomorrow could spin over and pick it up....? Its on Range Rd, if anyone can i'll give ytou further details....

Oh, also put in a request for another power drill someone was getting rid of... see whether we get that....
