Oh, new boss at work has started getting some second hand stuff in, and there's a bike which I reckon could be pretty sweet as a dedicated polo bike so I don't have to keep stretching my fixie.
Old mountain frame, canti brakes, horizontal drops, 103cm wheelbase, only £50. Only problem is the frame is only near 50cm, as I'm 6ft 2in, do you guys think it'll be too small or could the size actually help in polo?
-
• #11680
small size is normally a good thing, I think the general wisdom is to go 1 size smaller, so it might be a little too little, ride the fucker, see what it feels like

What we doing with names/paying? Needs sorting by Monday at the latest, would Chan/Neil/Em like me to forward a paying email to them or shall I do I on your behalf and you pay me?
Rob - please pay - I'll give you cash tomorrow. We should have a team name by Tuesday night...
-
• #11682
OK, I'll pay for your team tonight, Adam will you do ours?

Ste - can you bring your rack to polo or shall I nip over to yours to pick it up?

Did anyone find themselves with an extra red ball on Thursday? I know I brought it out but I'm not sure at what point I might have used it. Failing that, has anyone a ball I could buy?

Try and get something with track ends and not too big/expensive. We also need to talk wheels - strong wheels....

As someone new to the game Polo raises many questions...
- Why am I looking at my recently built bike and contemplating the removal of half of the bits from it?
- Why are those 38cm chopped risers in my parts box now sat on the side looking tempting?
- Why am I looking at that for sale sign in the front yard of that house down the road and seeing circular shapes and a marriage with zip-ties?
- Why didn't I just put those bits up for sale on flea-bay and avoid the risk of contact with Rob?
- Does Salman ever manage more than 30 seconds without crashing?
- Would mugging a riot copper be the cheapest way to get decent body armour?

All valid points, you'll never escape now!

Will my rear wheel ever stay true for more than two poloing sessions?
