  • Off chainline would be fine it's an 1/8 inch chain so there's room and the ability to consistently go straight would be worth it really.

  • cool, if it was difficult to ride no-handed before then that would explain a few things, shouldn't of been sold with the wheel like that, even for dirt cheap, I'll do it on Monday, just need to find another shitty rim

  • Any shitty rim will probably be lighter. I've just weighed the front 2.64kg Take away the 640g-ish for tyres and disc = near enough 2kg wheel up front :D

  • At least you're not rolling on marathon plus'. 1kg per tyre!

  • Christ. I assume caused by slapping on an extra bunch of rubber for puncture protection.

  • Sunday 1pm:

    1. Ste
    2. Rob
    3. Drew
    4. Chan (from 2pm)
  • ^^ yep, 6mm of protection to be precise.

I'm assuming you've got cheap tripple ring cranks, which position's the ring in?

  • It's the smallest ring with a chainline of 45mm

They will get changed when I get a new BB.

  • it'll move the chainline in, which is annoying if your already on the smallest ring. just think of all the fun you'll have being able to ride no-handed, and also better 1 handed

  • What's the deal with tommorow do we have enough, I'm happy to play with just 4 think Adam is in, drew will your bike be functional?

  • Sadly it won't. I wish there was bike part rental.

    :(

  • drew, there is a wheel of mine at ste's, it's disc only but you can use it for today, the hub is 135 so it'll be a bit of a squeeze but will fit with some slight frame stretching, will need tube & tyre though, I can bring these but there might be a bit of back and forth between your place

  • I'm cool with that I'll switch the brake now

  • it's quite a wide rim and my tyres are quite big too, I'll bring your tyre along too in case it's a bit big for your frame, should be ok though

  • You be heavily laden, lets call it weight training.

  • Shall I bring that rear wheel then? It's not disk only coz it has a breaking surface with groove but You wouldn't want to wear off the gray, it has 2 cogs on the back a 14 and a 22 are either of those ok might need a chain tool too, I can bring one if needed

  • Thanks to my frame the chain just slips on. Elevated chainstay innit.

  • the 22 is what I used, the 14 was just as a spacer

  • it's only 2 teeth different than your other wheel, no worries, you'll be faster.

Been measuring your wheel, it's set up for a chainline of 52.5mmish at the moment, so off anyway, if you want a no-dish wheel I can move it all over 14mmish or if you want correct chainline then I can move it over 6.5mm, i reckon move it over 9mm, leaves only a little dish and chainline will be closer than it has been anyway

  • Little dish!

  • big dish, cardboard box
