Stanmer Park Nature Reserve? Bet there are restrictions on overnight stays there. Even the Google photo car looks like it is being followed by a park ranger in a Landy!!!! Any thoughts locals?.....
I walk dogs at stanmer and I rarely see rangers there. There is a park full with travelers and campers, and further below there is a very nice meadow. Don´t know if they patrol that area very often, but I´m sure there is a place to hide a tent.

Very sadly, our Bells can't play in Brighton. Big boots to fill but can any one sub for the Sirens?

4 person groupsave from London terminals is £57. That's like £15 each.
I have pointed out our reccomended camping spot in the group email. I don't think vehicles and camping would go down well in Stanmer Park. Tents would be fine, there are plenty of places to tuck yourselves away, but not with a camper aswell.
Wild Park always has a couple of campers parked up and there is space to camp too.

Can I just find out who else is coming camping on Friday night?
Salman and I will be riding down together. I've got joni's number, I assume sal's got someone in the manc. bus.Ad and cam you coming on the Friday?
Anyone else?
Basically my thought is we choose a Campsite to meet at on Friday night and work it out from there?

Thinking about camping but i'll have the van so will have to camp in a seperate field which isn't ideal. Haven't had a chance to look at the campsites yet.
Probably arrive late friday.

We'll go to the courts first, around 5pm Friday, then check these areas out, if no new info comes along in the meantime...

Shame we din't know any friendly farmers this is starting to sound like it could be festival like! :)

Friday throw-ins will be at Preson Park, where we held our last tournament. Not much point going to the courts on Friday as they won't be playable.

^ Gotcha - added Preston Park courts to the lil map. Polo travelling folk can meet there to make plans.

There is a proper campsite about a mile along the road at a place called Housedean Farm. £8pppn... but there is a shower and you're allowed fires.

Is is okay/free to park at the University? Planning on arriving at 9am on the Saturday, and leaving the car there for the duration.

Skull attack booked to camp at Housedean. Arriving late Friday night so missing throw-ins :(
-
• #272
I'm starting to think that for £16 for the weekend housedean is a good idea...
-
• #273
Think we might have booked all Housedean space now. Maybe some space in other tents/back of cars? sounds like a party but their website says no amplified music etc but yes to fires!
Me, I'm not arriving to early Sat. what's the traffic like around A23/27 at 9am Saturdays? also probably leaving car at courts? -
• #274
So we should book a campsite soon then?
