Hey Tom.
Is where a reason why you want to re-lace hubs to different rims? Are they A23 at the moment? Had A23 a an option to lace to Mack hubs for Rourke. -
• #104
Hey there. No functional reason really, just fancy a bit of a change and also think the Archetypes might go well with white/black scheme (hubs, omniums, Thomson) and the aeroness of the stays.. The a23's are amazing, had them down stairs and all sorts and they never un-trued. I'd definitely use them if you had them in mind, think they're getting hard to find especially the NMSW ones..

Thanks for the info. I didn't even check if a23's are available.
-
• #106
No worries. Snap em up if you find them!
-
• #107
Think BLB, if you dare go there, always nmsw versions in stock.
-
• #108
^ good to know, cheers. Enter if you dare.......!
Oh does anyone know how Omnium chainlines and clearances work with V1's and Chubs by any chance?
-
• #109
Ask Dom about the chainline, he's got that set up.
-
• #110
Nice one, cheers. Shall give him a shout then, contemplating the options just now!

Haha throw in an extra zero and you might convince me ;)!
I can throw in two!
£150.00Sold?
:(
-
• #112
Ha how did I know that was going to happen ;)?!
Just bought a front Chub hub. Black, 32h... Now to decide on rims I guess..
Not really sure why I'm building something new again but it feels right :)! -
• #113
Found some Archetypes to Chubs.. Not sure why he went with silver hub rear and black front mind..
-
• #114
BMW got back to me :)!! There's a first for everything..
Only ones they have are:Red w/blue
Yellow w/black
Fluro yellow w/blackNone go with signal orange and apparently they're waiting to sell these off before ordering new ones in. Was also thinking going for a raw finish on the frame and keeping forks black but kinda set on the orange so may have to do without stickers for a bit.. Decisions decisions!
-
• #115
Front Chub is in and now the decision whether to stay with a23's or switch them to Archetypes....
-
• #116
think about your aero advantages when going round Elephant roundabout...
-
• #117
The Hed. and the BHS don't come in a NMSW.
-
• #118
No wonder I felt a bit of resistant when pulling out of the traffic light at the Roundabout.
-
• #119
Windy roundabout innit fam.
Apparently the glow in the dark Armourtex use isn't too good so probably not going to go w that idea (anyone here have it?). Veering towards raw frame and black/fluro yellow decals and all black forks/components. -
• #120
Raw always look awesome, least mine does, I'm actually going to respray my custom bicycle in the same colour as a lacquered raw steel.
Are you going to clearcoat it?
-
• #121
Aye the raw goes well with you Gangsta for sure. Also really like that Launchpad that was for sale here a while back. I'd definitely have it powdercoated, Armourtex being the most likely candidates..
-
• #122
getting my gangsta stripped in the near future. gonna be awesome.
-
• #123
^do it mate, raw's the new pink ;)
BMW just sold out of black/fluro yellow decals.. Just black/yellow and blue/red left.. This is getting rough!
-
• #124
Right, I think the colour is going to have to be voted on as I can't decide and Armourtex is on the cards this week..
Choices are:
RAW or SIGNAL/NEON ORANGE
Do it!

http://www.pedalroom.com/p/on-one-inbred-single-speed-29erex-kona-8640_12.jpgneon orange is rad, but draws soooooo much attention if you lock up etc.
My vote is for raw.
having said that, Armourtex do raw now? They used to claim that it still rusted underneath so wouldn't do it.
I suggest you sell it to me for a stupid price of something like £150.
I want one :(
