Some facts to geek out over:

Fantastic ride. Great company. Some severe cramp trying to get up Ditchling. A fair amount of drink.
Was great to have met all the new faces. Malaysian thank you for organizing and OldSkoolRacer thanks for leading the way! Dom thanks for the sticker!
I vaguely remember Shinkuu Kiss shouting "Fuck that on a spok!" on the way home when he realized hopping off a curb wasn't the best idea - made me chuckle.

Sorry for slowing everyone right down. I didn't intend to. I have been thinking of an excuse but i don't have any :(. Was fun though, while it lasted

Great ride despite the delays. Bunch of troopers all of you. Blessed with amazing weather and fantastic company. Big up malaysian, great to meet you. Shinkuu, sorry to bail when you punctured, hope you and the boys wern't delayed too long. The ride home through town was jokes, never seen so many cunts in london on a Saturday night (in 12 years of being here) although that could have something to do with spending the day on stunning country roads with equally stunning folk. Thank you all.

Ol, eat breakfast before coming on a ride mate. Fuel is your friend. And tighten up that chain line!

To echo the above, great ride, beautiful weather, awesome crowd, sick slaves and sunburnt shoulders!
For those that weren't there, sumo helped me sort out a few prizes for the day
World champion award went to Becky for her champion like determination in carrying not just herself, but her own bodyweight in unnecessary crap in her bag, all the way to the beach!
The Rouleur award went to Markypoos, for his all round riding skills, and proactively helping out left right and centre with mechanicals, punctures and motivation!
Then we have Chris, now this award was to be for "sickest skid" however, Chris rocked up on his trick bike and didn't restrain himself to skidz, entertaining stuff...
Next up is Theo for a combined award, sickest slave and most inappropriate foot wear...
Then the big one, KoM went to Laner, who time trialled up the bitchling on his aerobars in record time!!
Unfortunately we lost oliver to the peasant charriot en route, sorry to see you go dude, next time get yourself a big breakfast an hour before the ride it'll keep you rolling!
At least you gots da flouncers cap....
Finally, some c*nt thought it would be funny to leave a message for the slaves.of the future.... WAC....
Special mention to Dom for doing the gentlemanly thing and helping the lady with her bag....

You're humping too much stuff, troop.
You don't need half this shit.
I'll haul it for you,but next time you check with me first, all right?
OK. Thanks, Sarge.Looks like it was a fun day out, empire of dirt was fun but this looked equally awesome.

Thanks to everyone! I had an amazing time on the ride and met some great people. Thanks to everyone for being patient with all the stopping and slow moments. Shame Oliver didn't make it to the end and well done to Becky for re-evaluating and finishing the ride! Thanks to Matt for leading and Tom for motivation and giggles! Highlight was the downhill race into Brighton! Goodtimes .....

Awesome day, so glad the weather held out, scenery was stunning, good to meet so many new faces and I also learned a few things too:
Best way to poke at those walking
Brighton has a unique problem
Seagulls prefer Shimano/SRAMAnd remember, the ice-cream van man will always remember us at the Old Street Roundabout TT club crew from Stoke Newington

fine...
I see 2 spoks and a 4 spoke...
I also see Les which is very HHSB
-
• #1069
look closer at the Les, it has one too

Les has a Spinergy, which made a really quite alarming noise when I hit the level crossing in Reigate at speed after spinning down the hill.
I also enjoyed watching this, one of the highlights for me
And thanks apollo for getting my rando back on so easily, maybe the most impressive feat of the day right there
