  • Nope. Google maps Blackheath Gate Lodge and it's kinda in the center of the park... I think.

  • Just a small point. Blackheath gate to the park is behind all the security barriers for the Olympics. Can I suggest the Tea Hut here.
If you get there early enough you can score a cuppa and a huge chunk of cake for just £1.50 and I'm pretty sure they would appreciate some extra business as they've been real quiet of late with all the parking restrictions and road closures destroying their passing trade.

  • Can't turn down tea and cake.

  • Going by this map, Blackheath Gate is at the southern edge

    http://www.royalparks.org.uk/__documents/park_maps/greenwichpark_english_map.pdf

  • I like the idea of the tree hut...

and if the weather is hot im treating you all to my semi naked body.

  • singlets ride ?

  • tea hut Iain, TEA

  • I like the idea of a hybrid.

(tea hut up a tree, not the bike).

  • Tea, tree, whatevs...

  • Oh yeah, that's right, saffas drink tea made from trees don't they?

  • Is the foot tunnel open yet? Haven't had to use it for about three years.

  • Ooh, that would be useful. Didn't know it existed

  • I used it about 3 weeks ago. It was open then.

  • do you have to pay to use it?

  • nope
we need john to defintively specify where we are meeting

10-4 10-4 for a copy come in john good buddy, where are you ?

  • Blackheath Gate is here: http://goo.gl/maps/rjJ8d It's where the park meets the heath, the tea hut is all of 200 yards up the road so there will be plenty of opportunity to grab a cuppa while waiting.

Dunno bout the security barriers but it's right by the A2 so can't be that far behind enemy lines, just look for a bunch of hipsters with bikes.

  • are we doing the thames path down to dartford or taking the road ?

  • At the risk of sounding like a cunt; you do know there is a route map in the first post?

  • BOO ! ( did i do that right ) or even put it in the right thread
that map shows a 500,000:1 scale i can barely make out the united kingdom le alone the thames path

  • wow it's actually interactive
the wonders of the web will never cease to amaze me !
