Re: That AWD bike. What if you lock up the rear wheel with the brake. I assume it has some kind of clutch thats cuts drive to the front?
-
• #979
the caliper position and suspension lever causes the fork to extend/the bars to rise when the brake is applied. opposite of cenventional sus forks.
pretty clever and very ugly, heavy etc.and ed, the rack is not part of the suspension. can't you guys click links?
I did'nt mean from a technical stand point. But from a 'this guy obvious knows his bikes, so surely he can ride one without going over the bars' stand point.

That^
Needs a massive rack area. Theres space.

Is that a tow-bar above the rear wheel? Presumably for attaching a horsebox or possibly trekking sled?

Fuck, longest project ever. In the time it's taken, I have bought and now sold a fatbike, and Ordered and received a Triton, which I am soon to retire to being a winter hardtail when I build up a full-susser!
Lee, you're a patient man.

Surely you'd want to wait untill I add the metallic blue fizik saddle and bartape?
Its not a classic 80s build with ano stem, cranks etc. Its just nips, rimtape, frame bolts, and hubs. But I'll still make it look fugly.....its a skill.

I've only lost one snow season, and I had a fat front 29er for that anyway. I've been enjoying the process so much it hasnt bothered me TBH.
A full suss would be loads faster up here. I'm looking more to explore than blast things though.

Let's all face it - finishing one project just means starting another one anyway.

How soon do you reckon until it's all done? Are you going to miss the worst of the snow?
This from 2nd Feb 2012 - Prescient! Also love that the second post is of the rims and you quickly get to built wheels etc ... and .. its almost done!
