When are you going to do the madame whiplash style red and black ones that we were talking about yesterday Murts? I reckon that they will look awesome.

If you are going to try that then use blotting paper (if you can find any) or the type of brown paper that grannies use to wrap up birthday presents in order to to post them.

Freeze it and pick it off.

To remove wax from fabric you'd use a gentle iron and have kitchen paper either side of the fabric to absorb the melting wax. Not sure whether the wax would soak into the leather, but keep the iron as cool as possible but warm enough to loosen the wax.
Freezing is a solution for chewing gum removal, would probably make a mess of the wax, and the leather!

Put it in a bag and then freeze it.

Just the freezing process will make a mess when you try to pick it out. The wax will have penetrated the leather grain, gentle heat will remove it. Freezing it will make it harder, and hence ruin the grain when you pick it out. unless that's what the desired outcome is ...

An iron is not gentle heat.

It works just fine. I did exactly that process to remove wax from a table runner 10 days ago.

A leather table runner?
