It's fine, I rode around at midnight on a track gear to try and get on some leaderboards last night.

Well this is part of the annoyance.
With the BMC being fixed at my usual slow rate. I'm stuck on my fixed commuter. Still going to have a go though.

Anyone else being followed or given kudos by complete randoms on your rides? I seem to have a stalker in liverpool keeps giving me kudos on every ride which are just commutes even if there are no achievements!
Very worrying!
-
• #2605
er, block them then?
-
• #2606
There was someone by the name of Anotnio Sanchez or similar followed me a couple of weeks back. Had no idea who he was so removed him (which doesn't actually block them). A few days ago he followed me again and his profile said he followed about 7,500 others, including a lot of people on my list.
Very strange, and now thoroughly blocked.

I'm heading out tonight with the single motivation of stealing 2 segments which I simply must have. They are runs on either side of a lake that I ride a few times a week. Its been niggling me since I joined, which I never should have. I'm far too competitive relative to my actual ability. Grrrr.
I did that today. Did a 2mi run at lunchtime and took 30secs off a colleagues kom

They are actually rides. Bad use of the word run. Theres a great run segment which is part of my typical sunday runShould hit it when I'm nice and warmed up.
Got one of the KOMs. The other isnt going to happen. The leader has an average of 40.1 kph over 7.5 km. I could only manage 35.

^ obviously you need a TT bike.

^ obviously you need a TT bike.
HA. Yes.
I have long and low bull bars on the fixed. If I cup the ends I can get into, what for me, would be a decent TT position. This falls down on lumpy courses, as I dont have the gears to remain seated. But I did manage it pretty well last night. Did'nt really spin out either. So I dont really have an excuse. I was thinking more training in this zone was the answer. But thats silly, youre right, I need to buy more shiney stuff.

Training videos available now for premium users. Fuck yeah!

Is there a way to hide a ride from my feed, whilst still allowing the mileage etc to count towards my mileage total? I don't want people seeing my commute, that's boring, but I want it to count because it's a long commute...

Grr Strava developers spent all their time to get it working on Google Glass... wish they would fucking fix the API's that everyone can use, rather than a niche product that hardly anyone has
-
• #2615
If it's long enough to be worth recording then leave it there. Not like you're posting 10 rides a day. It's easy enough to flick past a couple of commutes.

I think it does count doesn't it? Atleast in this part : https://www.diigo.com/item/image/1lgiw/16va

The page where you see all the details of your ride has been revamped. Looks good, lot more info. Apparently they've done something to the segments bit, but my ride was just a turbo session so don't know what it is yet.
Think it only works on newly-uploaded rides rather than backdating all the old stuff.
-
• #2621
is it only for premium members? would you post a screenshot?
-
• #2622
^ I'm not a premium member.
I just went back and looked at the ride and it's showing up as normal (i.e., old style), but when I'd just uploaded it, it came up in the jazzy new format. Maybe it's some kind of soft launch.
If you take a look around your profile, there's links everywhere saying 'preview the new ride page' - it's to do with that
-
• #2623
The new look has been up for ages, i wish they just make it one or the other, if I reload, it randomly shows me new/old layouts, it's annoying.
There's a link at the top to view the new page, and on the side on the new page to switch to the old design.

A pro stopping to take the exact same photo as me (also taking my KOM)?
Proof enough I'm overlooked talent. :0

New rides new layout.
Historic rides, old layout.
Simples.
