had to unfollow a few people who were posting their commute on daily basis. not interested.

It would be nice if Strava would keep the boring routine stuff out of the feeds (not that I follow anyone so it isn't an issue for me). At the moment you can only do it my making it private which blocks you from participating in the segments. I'm not in contention for KOMs but I do like to see if I've been faster on a particular stretch sometimes on my commute.

I think if you list it as a commute it won't appear on other peoples dashboards. As this seemed true for mine when i was using it.

Certainly the Strava docs said that the commute flag doesn't do anything, but it doesn't mean they're correct.

According to my workmate, he can see all my commutes. They are all marked as commutes.

The really stupid thing about this is that strava say it's a way of categorising things, but you can't actually search or browse by category, so what is the point? Absurd.

I think they appear on your page but not in someone who follows you dashboard. I think they do however appear within a club feed, which is a bit annoying.

They do appear in club feeds. I wonder if premium members have the ability to do something with commutes - like not see them in their feeds.

Not that I'm aware of.

The ride is marked as a commute in the "my activites page" but you aren't able to filter them by that column "type"

I've got a premium subscription and I can't see any options to do anything with commutes either (other than uselessly mark them as so).

strava bugging out on me today totally ruining my sense of progress training on swains lane :(
