  • I was very very lucky. The cab went over the top of my legs and had to be lifted off by the fire brigade. I walked home the next day after a short spell in casualty.

    Fuccckkkk!

  • Fuccckkkk!

  • Andy, I saw one of these at the top of Box Hill on Sunday.

All matt black, dripping with Record. Drool.
    #nottiorstainless

  • That's grotesque.

  • Harry.Major was selling this recently:

Who bought it ? Is it built yet?

I bought it James, and it's still work in progress.....like most I always wanted a Ti frame, and a cross frame makes it quite flexible for my needs. I love the ride/feel of Ti and the sheer beauty of the material.
It's rolling nicely with the bits I had from my Roberts EL and Singular (which were sold to afford it) Slowly saving for a new wheelset (or rims and re-build at least) Stem and maybe rethink the groupset (7900 compact?) and get some Canti's, spacers,...

Also, since having the pleasure of meeting Multi Grooves, I have serious bar/stem envy which brings me to this beauty...any recent pics Mr Grooves??

excellent eye candy thread, where's Tilover?

  • I sold Harry that Merlin. Glad to see someone is riding it (I never did).

  • anyone got a pic of dj's bikes?

Hey Andy, good to know! How come you didnt ride it? Not sure Harry got much use either. Btw, how did you come by it? Always good to know a bit of history.

    also his serotta

(i think hes replaced those saddles now)

i'm sure a photo of his lynskey will be forth coming soon
    here it is

  • He has some utterly mental carbon forks for it now. There are also some handlebars on it that weigh less than a sparrow's fart.

  • ^^ can see the neckerchief in the shadow.

  • Those are bolts - Ti, natch.

  • Mudguards allowed on here?

  • Yes.

  • As long as they're either Ti or Stainless...

  • As it was:

Last I rode it, it had black soft touch tape, had lost the spacer and had the steerer cut and was on Enve 2.0 forks. Then it snapped and I'm waiting for VN to get my warranty replacement frame in stock...claimed mid Dec, frames due in Holland mid Feb :(

You can't actually tell very well from the picture, but it was also the std brushed finish there, but also I later got out the Autosol and polished it to a high shine.

  • Rich (The Bike Tart)'s Baum is utter filth. Unfortunately I can't find a good shot of it.

Here are some more detail pictures of it but no good drive-side shots. http://www.onlinepictureproof.com/russellfspencer/albums/events/157789/browse/?start

He also has a ridiculous Ti bike history including being the original owner of my Enigma.

  • Also another old forum favourite. Stainless steel Bishop
