No, for me it is all appearance. I just really don't like 5 spoke aerospokes, find them quite ugly, plus with their weight, and I see no real advantage aerodynamically.

I meant that neither the weight, OR aerodynamics of the Aerospokes seem to be any better than a normal wheel.

IIRC Boardman rode on Spoks in the early 90's on a 753 Ribble lo-pro i think - he was pretty nerdy about aerodynamics etc, so they must have some redeeming aerodynamic benefit - they weren't invented exclusively so that BLB could flog them to the retarded.
