HED (until very recently https://www.hedcycling.com/vanquish-6/) only made carbon wheels with alu brake tracks

They made a Hed3 in full carbon, and their Stinger line has always been full carbon, though tubular

Why?

They don't allow 3 spokes or machined brake tracks. Also those tyres provide way too little grip,
they'll never let them in. And yes, they check every bike for tyres.
