did I say amazing outstanding?

It puzzles me as to why anybody builds slack frames. Surely it costs no more to make the head tube steeper but its only decent bike manufacturers that actually do. Are cheap bike manufacturers not allowed to build bikes with good geo or some shit?

Dosnoventa Houston
€990.00 -

Mate that's not a dosnoventa.
-
• #38456
He's pointing out that there's expensive frames with slack angles.

Dosnoventa Houston
€990.00Tru dat.
I just dunno why anybody comes to design a frame and decides to make it with shit geometry when it doesn't affect build cost but probably decreases sales? -
• #38458
I think Dosnoventa sales are pretty good. They know their target market.
-
• #38459
and these were sold off way cheap a while back

Dos frames are designed slack on purpose. people who buy Dos frames don't know how to ride tight frames. overlap and such.
-
• #38461
Kind of makes sense I guess

what I dont understand is why most cheap sled frames are built with ridiculously small headtubes. There is always something stupid like 6cm spacers and then a negative cinelli pista stubby stem.
a2 something had 56 toptube with about 10cm headtube without stack from traditional headset. meh.

that geometry... ffs is it so hard? just put 74 degrees and equal cc on st and tt.
-
• #38465
XL with 135 HT. hahaha
-
• #38466
and the xl has 71.6 head angle.
because...?
e. just noticed that they have measured the head angle relative to the toptube, so on the larger sizes as the st increases more than the headtube the slope of the tt is increased and the obscure "a" is reduced. Why on earth anyone would measure the angle between headtube and sloped toptube?
-
• #38467
Wait, it slackens the bigger they get? Oh jesus
-
• #38468
lol 4 degrees difference in HA between sizes.
-
• #38469
maybe they have concluded that larger people have bigger feet therefore needs more space not to get toe overlap.
-
• #38470
yes, what he ^ said.
Edit: tragic case of not refreshing. left alone for archival purposes.
-
• #38471
Surely the longer TT would have made up for that.

This is my point!

frnt wheel tho
I actually really like that bike the the extremely low-rise risers. Looks subtly purposeful.
