  • I kind of like those Anti bars on that build, makes it stand out...

  • right so after seeing previous page low's headset it got me thinking, why people do so nasty things to their builds with this kind of coloring.
here is another one, this kid had some good ideas (except submitting this bike on weight-weenies and choosing archetypes as rims), but ffs, pink seatcollar...?

Ozren0 has a nice build, proof that bbb dont have to look out of proportions

  • who is vinylvillain?

He's just one man. But what a man

  • why is the guy with the silver low wearing a diving suit?

  • I'd like to see what the fork take and chain stay length is for the Dosnoventas
On paper the headtube and seat tube angles are tighter than a Venge, but I think the MAMIL sized headtube, along with quite possibly a very long wheel base gives them the slack look
Just speculation, there's nothing on the geo chart about wheelbase, chain stay length etc

  • rake looks like 44., chainstay length doesnt look too bad actually, its the front all the debates are always about
I am typing this however and not believing myself I am getting involved in ANOTHER dosnoventa discussion
can imagine duke being pretty pissed off by now ha

  • why is the guy with the silver low wearing a diving suit?

    U dum cuz

  • ^^ Funny you should say that, reckon Duke's is probably my favourite Dosnoventa build

  • lol me and Duke were chatting about this yesterday.

The bikes not tight but pretty good for riding quick on the road with fear or in crits.

Both things I don't really mind but whatever floats your boat.

Whatever he rides his bike fast and enjoys it, that'd what it's about.

Well if you end up coming to RP on sunday you'll probably see it in the flesh.

    He's my new training buddy.

  • Has anyone ever used these shoes? I was tempted to get a pair but dont want to waste my money.

6 Months in. I like them a lot. With ATAC cleats. I experienced a week of crunch then they bedded in really well. I find them stiff enough, stiffer then some MTB shoes I tested. My job requires me to be on feet all day, so I do just that in them. You might find one foot might get heel rub (My right foot is bigger than my left) but after a couple of weeks use, the canvas relaxed.

My one miniature complaint, laces could be improved and made out of a less slippery material.

Aside from that. They're golden. Naturally, test in store before buying.

    Whole thread: http://www.lfgss.com/thread7690.html

  • training, RP laps on a sunday. It's only a matter of time now

  • I know how much you kids love a conversion...

  • who is vinylvillain?

Everything you like, vinylvillain liked 5 years ago.

And he did it better than most people on the forum, past and present.

  • Did anyone ride out tonight, the head wind was unreal.

  • Yeah, I stayed late at work tonight, only just got in an hour ago. I left my cycling shoes in the lab and the cleaners set the alarm so I had to ride home in my socks (brakeless of course).
bighting the bars into a headwind in your socks on look pedals is not to be recommended.
Luckily the traffic was light and there are only a few descents and no need for emergency stoppage. After about 10miles it started to rain as well just to make matters worse.
All in all a pleasant evenings ride

There it is, the ultimate HHSB. Plus he plays a mean harmonica

jaunty saddle angle on a conversion and clear grips, well I suppose thats a good epithomy for this thread.

Don't talk daft, I'm doing nothing of the kind

Haha tht sounds like a tough ride I bet you managed to gain some funny looks. I nearly got wiped out by a coach in the lanes near me and span out trying to catch my mate on his road bike but I took him in the end 'competitive friendship' not sure if I like the kid.

  • Just had a day dream about my RHP... Moar rad build coming soon.

  • Yes!

He's not trying to kill it, he's trying to make you lot realise the roots of HHSB. There's a fine line between true HHSB and anti-porn. Making a cookie-cutter Leader/Dosnoventa/whatever with thomson seatpost/stem, compact drops, zoncolan saddle and deep wheels isn't HHSB. It's got to be out the ordinary, something different, something ridiculous, but not ugly. It's in the name, being a slave to fashion with aethetics over function.
    For example
    This is awesome

    This is boring

Saying that, people complaining about saddle angles and that can fuck right off.
