pretty sure the Ellsworth needs 650 front
i always thought they were just quite ugly framesets, this is the og fork i think, looks like a 650 would help

^^^That IS fucking ugly. a fella often sells them on ebay (forkless) quite often, with reference to them taking 650's. that fork up there is incredibly ugly. a mate got one and used a 650 kinesis and it look okay.. but only okay.

Both of these bikes have had the clearances / geometry ruined by swapping out forks!Seriously think that dale would look better with the original fork?
Think the Ellsworth could just be a bad pic, as far as the sloping to tube goes anyway. -
• #11832
No I was perpetuating the joke. silly.
But you've ruined it now...
Well done on knowing what couplers are though :)Sorry, facepalm. It was late! :)

Yes it looks better with the original fork!!!!!!
The best thing to do with this bike is keep everything except the frame and get a better frame.

The best pedals are .., Look Keo (Road)...
Tell this to the traffic I hold up trying to clip in after every fucking red light!
Although that may be more down to my incompetence...

Best pedals are speedplay. No comp.

I found it easier to learn no handed, then you can see where your bars naturally rest. The resting position is different depending on what geometry your bike has.
Then rocking backwards and forwards on you pedals will help.

^^I tend to try at lights...at inopportune moments...which is why I fell over yesterday in front of a load of cars. Luckily was only clipped in with one shoe so managed to get the unclipped foot over the top tube just in time to kinda land on my feet. I have real difficulties unclipping my left foot unless I'm at the bottom of my pedal stroke.
Since going clipless I seem to have lost the ability to trackstand altogether. Sucks!

I barely have the balance to ride no-handed, let alone trackstand! I suspect that's my biggest hurdle.
This is, of course, why my two favourite sporting activities are climbing and cycling - both balance-based...

ha. Snooker bats! Awesome image in my mind of Steven Hendry playing some snooker/cricket hybrid game and a very bemused crowd.
-
• #11844
The image of a swarm (flock?) of bats trying to play snooker is pretty funny, honestly.

• #11845
It's a colony, or camp of bats.

Don't think this is a re-post, I had a quick search, but excuse me if it is. Anyone seen this wonderfully colour coordinated bike currently (July, anyway) in the foyer of the V&A?
