Loving the bars and seatpost on this, any ideas what they are?

Those are LP Composites bars and seatpost.

^^^ have the forks been bent backwards to try and get less clearance? It looks like it's been ridden into a wall.

Yeah definitely look bent. Those LP's are tha bomb!

I do like those bb17 transfer frames, i may end up buying one at this rate. This one is quite a new build, not sure i if prefer the low profile or deep wheels more.
I've started to go off real deep rims at the mo myself, and think that anything with a chunky frame definitely looks better with low profiles (there are some exceptions), my mash has a TB14 rear and a 19mm, V, no-brake surface in black to match and looks tons better than deeeep rims I reckon.
So so so awesome.
Is it meant to be a 650c frame or something? Looks odd; rear clearance is super tight with loads of room in the dropouts, braze marks all over the place, and a non matching fork.
Love it though.
T'is a small frame thats been tampered with and looks great, have posted it in Rats thread to as fits just as much as it does here!
Although that toe overlap looks threatening!^+1
Would love to see this with gumwall tyres.Agree with you on that, but after my last build where it was white and I tried to match white parts to it, and realized the folly of my ways before to late, I's be tempted to take all the white of that Somec.

Fuck off the both of you, they're not bent, they is just a tight head angle and fork blades that taper, so front edge looks slightly bent, but is optical illusion. :P

Thank you kindly, they are muchos sexy!

Haha stop kidding yourself! The pedalroom pictures illustrate that it is bent even more so than the one above!
-
• #10185
Guiz. It is just a tight frame.

I know people seem to think mirror rims and white tyres are HHSB but to waste a frame like that Somec with a build as bad as that should earn it a place in Anti.

from pedalroom: "I was lucky enough to place my order before he stopped taking request for custom colors. It's hard to capture the Fluorescent Red color of the bike but depending on the time of the day it ranges from Hot pink to Hot orange." -

Everytime I see a Low with Alpina branded forks a little part of me dies.
Love Alpina forks, hate the logo, just makes me think pre-cursa.
Sort it out!

Fair play TM, that is just mad tight, dangerously tight in fact. Surely if the fork flexed at all the tyre would just rub the downtube....? If I had the patience I'd be all over a low.

I must admit that when I see a LOW i just think...
and that is not a good thing -

The Rossin there was originally a 58cm sized frame, and without its original fork.
The seat tube broke off at the BB after several years of riding in the streets. The broken frame was given to its current owner who, being quite skilled at working metal, took it apart and re-sized it about 6cm smaller for himself as an experiment.

Would love to see this with gumwall tyres.Looking at the clearance, I'd concern myself with a gumshield first.

non original forks....?

I was thinking that if it was originally a 650 frame that might be why the forks didn't match the frame.
I was wrong anyway haha. -

might order a low// frame black with black decals and might just use wing tt forks instead of the alpina ones
-
• #10198
I'm pretty over the Low// now, and the price hike is ridiculous. I know it's not hand welded in san fran but for instance Factory Five will get you a custom built frame to your spec for half that and within maybe a month rather than a year.
A friends low was due about 4 months ago and is still not here. Bit of a piss take.

from the low blog: "Current lead time for a frame is 8 months from the time deposit is paid."

Ask TP88 whose 6 month wait is at around 10?
