Oh, and if anyone can bring a wine bottle cork, and cigarette lighter, I would like to test a suggestion for "sooting up" for the ride, that seems too good to be true.

I was meant to be playing in Hyde Park. In the end our opponent forced us to play, saying we'd have to forfeit if we pulled out. By then I'd already announced that I wouldn't play and have faced a wall of disapproving faces. Ah well.

Most complicated ride evaaaaar! I thought this was as simple as riding from London to Oxford and watching/participating in a run. Over dramatic epic to-do list:

• Dress up like Mary Poppins
  
• Make a chimney sweep and use it to duff up an add lee cab
  
• Choose a departure point
  
• Book a train ticket or join groupsave gang
  
• Work out what the significance of the magnificent 7 is and whether I should try to join their club
  
• Attend the pre-ride meetup ... oh wait ...
  
• Wise up/fix up/htfu and actually make the effort to re-read the last 6-7 pages of this thread
