Well I am pleased that the frame has gone to some one that will really appreciate it, the cash has covered the amount it needed to for a new bike for the kids and beginners , Ebay and paypal have made nothing on the deal and after a fraught holiday period for me at least some thing has turned out quite well at the last minute !
Last feed to do, quick rub down of the wee one with the calamine lotion and off to bed.... work tomorrow :-(

Although the frame sizes don't match.

Who seriously gives a stuff about a half inch difference ???
-
• #63
Are you still selling the 52 or 53cm frames? I'm confused by all this merging and thread closing!
-
• #64
Has this been resolved yet?
-
• #65
^what he said.

^^ what they said? -
• #67
What's confusing? This is for a 61cm frame.
He said the other frames might get listed if this was successful. -
• #68
Sorry. The whole thing was tl;dr, but thanks for clearing it up.
-
• #69
Surely there must be something in the classifieds rules regarding this? That's like saying "I've got this, how much would you offer me for it?" and then not selling it because the offer isn't high enough.
Put a price on it and sell it at that price.
It's not brain surgery - it's simple business.
FFS!

but it's in a charitable interest... which kind of differentiates it.
personally, I would grade the frames 1-5 based on condition, and I would just price the frames based on that scale at between £180 and £350 and go from there. This auction idea is effort on all parts.

So, put a price on them and try and sell them at that price. If they don't sell then chip the price.
Alternatively whack 'em on ebay when there's a free listing weekend and go from there. The ebay fee comes from the final price.

or you could put them on a forum full of informed (maybe) and enthusiastic people who would like to buy a piece of cycling history. This also means that Ebay and Paypal don't take a chunk of the proceeds.
The idea is also fully approved by the appropriate people on this forum since it's going towards a charitable cause of getting the next generation of Scottish track riders to the standard set by the current group.
So alternatively you could bid on one if you'd like one or not if you don't.I'd imagine that there will be a separate auction thread for each frame and the bidding will be feirce! Good on you Allister I say.

Any clues Allister as to when you will be putting up the remaining Team Raleigh track frames up for auction?
