• What are the other sizes you have, and will you be selling them off in the same way?

  • Love the story behind these frames, not only the SBDU but the collection of riders who may have used them. Great idea to auction them off, I hope they don't reappear for sale in a few weeks..they deserve to be used and or restored...Good luck with the sale.
If you don't get much luck here and want to avoid the bay - there are a bunch of TiRaleigh collectors here: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TI_RALEIGH_TEAM_PROS/

  • Some great bikes for a great cause. Good luck with the sale of these from all at Herne Hill Velodrome!

  • how do we bid
    where do we bid
    when's the 57cm rocking up ?

  • I'm assuming this is still going, ending at midnight tonight? 155£ is pretty cheap...

read http://www.lfgss.com/post2592987-397.html you have to email him your bid.

  • Could we be told what the current bid is? I'd be tempted to bid, if I had any idea what sort of amount.

  • Would make much mre sense to keep it public. This 'auction' is all over the place. The complete description for this frame is on another thread rather than on this one.

  • Hopefully by the time the tiny frame auction happen it'll be more clear than this cos I'll be bidding!

  • would make alot more sense just to have bids on the thread, frame description at the top, no chit chat, just bids... then if the final bidder backs down (with this being LFGSS and everything....) just revert to previous bidder.

  • I bid 50 dorrah

  • I'd actually really like this frame, but without any sort of reference re: bid, I'm going to let it pass.

  • £160 is my bid

    Ditto

  • Good evening folks,

I should really start of with an apology,

I can understand why some folk are a bit pissed off, in my ( very limited ) defence I have been unwell over the last couple of days , and have two small children with chickenpox, just as Virgin media shut down my internet connection…. happy new year.

This idea of a track frame auction has not gone well, which is all down to my own fault in not managing it very well.

I should have started a new thread for the frame and closed all other references to it on the forum, then folk could have seen a start and finish date and posted what they thought it was worth and every on could see how it was developing.

Having done the sums to look at what is needed to make each frame sale work in respect of converting it in to a new track bike there is an "upset value " of £ 245 for each frame which I think is just about on the upper limit of what folk may pay as they are sound but not in pristine condition by any means.

If there is an offer of that ( or more ) by midnight then I will accept it , if not I will re run the sale taking in to account all the very helpful suggestions forum members have given me.

Apologies again for the lack of clarity and inconvenience.

The current highest bid I have had by email is £ 175 please post any more here rather than by email .

    Over to you !

    regards Allister

  • So, you won't sell any of the frames unless you get £245 for it?
Clearly won't be buying any as my pockets aren't that deep :-(
    Good luck with the auctions.

  • I would wait for the moderators to merge threads then state next steps so that all info is consolidated in one place.

If you intend to run an auction here I would think you need to accept whatever the final bid is at he end of the auction, set a clear time limit and ensure that all bids are visible to other parties (I.e. done by post in thread).

  • Merged the posts from the Track Stuff For Sale thread into this one.
    Deleted older for sale post.

  • £200 final offer for the largest one!

  • The current highest bid I have had by email < 23.36 > is £ 200 please post any more here rather than by email

  • Hmm... two offers of £ 200, probably earliest one takes precedence !

  • If only this was February and I had a fresh months pay.

  • I don't need the cash until the beginning of March :-)

  • weekly instalments?

  • In that case i'll increase ma bid to £255.00 for the largest one.
