how long til the frame gets here?

Bits are starting to arrive:
I've done an estimate of the weight, so far it's 7,500g + chain, sprocket, grips, lever, nokon.
So I'm guessing the final weight will be between 8 and 9 Kg. Pretty happy with that.

Let's have your parts listed out by weight then... you've managed to reel me in with all the Facebook/LFGSS natter.
I'm finding it all fairly depressing (my bike is on it's deathbed and Ryan is busier than ever), but it looks like a solid build!
What's the weight of your Max Power frame?

Can someone make a template spreadsheet in google docs for planning bike builds
Columns: Part, Weight, Price. Then columns weight and price add to a total at the bottom? I don't know how to do this stuff. Would be useful and great to have concrete info on peoples bikes.

Lol @ posting that in john h's thread.. can "someone" do it please
-
• #82
My bike was under 9kg last time I checked. (bordeaux?)
That was when I had heavy stem and bars too... -
• #83
At least I seem to remember it was something like that!
Need to weigh it now. How can I do that? -
• #84
if you have bathroom scales, weigh yourself, then weigh yourself holding the bike.
loving the build John. I must do something for my new bike...

Funnily enough I've done just that for mine, I'll share it with you.

Impressive weight and strength, nice one.

Which bit? or just in general.
-

In general, although personally I think disk brakes are overkill for polo (and heavy), in my opinion you can get adequate (hassle free) braking power for 300g all in.
But yeah, tidy build.
-
• #90
Yeah, that's the one area I could have saved a fair bit of weight.
I want to give disk brakes a go. V-brakes seem fine most of the time, but in rain they seem to go to shit, and they don't seem to stay at optimal braking capacity for long, I constantly have to adjust them. But maybe that's just me.

man, with just a longer stem most of those polo bikes would make a pretty tidy commuter as well, especially with the bobbins road surfaces we're blessed with in manchester. I love the look of those saint cranks

Why not come try out our polo bikes in Moss side?
-
• #93
Any updates H Bomb?

loving the weight-weenie-ism!
polo trend.

Nope, the frame still isn't here yet...
-
• #98
come on John, this is meant to be a 2012 polo bike, its almost June. Is it even on trend anymore?
-

I've got the frame, and put in the BB, cranks, and headset over lunch at Push, will hopefully finish it tonight.

Almost there:
Went for Kojak 26 x 1.35 tyres, and a £5 Ritchie stem.
Everything is now ordered, just need to wait for stuff to arrive.
I saw my hope hubs at Push today, looked awesome.
