Forecast is currently warm and dry. With a headwind for the North coastal section. Shotgun rear of peleton for that bit!

I was at the front this weekend just gone, it's your turn this weekend. Them's the rules.
-
• #80
What are you lot taking to eat? Or just relying on fuel stops?
-
• #81
I hadn't given it a moment's thought. I have one bottle cage, which I'll drop a Nuun in. Then a few Mars Bars in a jersey pocket I reckon.
-
• #82
Nice and melted by the time you get 5 miles round!!
-
• #83
I'm sure I'll survive.
-
• #84
I'm just reading in to it too much - like I do every ride over 100 miles.

I was so far behind, I was at the front of my own group of one. Hopefully we can latch onto a cycling club and hope they don't have to stop for a mechanical.
For food, I'll have a couple of water bottles and various energy bars / jelly beans / chocolate. Will also have money, you can get sarnies at the 45 and 70 mile rest stops and there's a newsagent in Mundesley which is a good snack point.

Inside info thanks colr. I'm taking sweets and banana in my pocket. Will rely on sandwiches en route. Pop zero in my water bottle and some viper in the other one for carbs.
-
• #87
Will be taking sandwiches with me. I'll never make it on bars/bananas alone.
Porrage and a triple espresso for breakfast. -
• #88
Triple espresso.
THIS. Window coffee.

I'll be doing it fixed on the RO Harrison as it is the only bike that fits me.
I rode to Sheringham and back last Sunday with no pain and managed 32mph without the bike falling apart. I have a creaky crank though.I will have my saddlebag filled with goodies seeing as there are no bottle mounts.
I may take a flask of chilli. I'll certainly be eating it for breakfast.7:15 start time.
Must remember sunglasses and suncream.
There were millions of little bugs flying into my face on the way home from work today. -

There was loads of free protein flying into my face on the way home from work today.
Mouth open and scoop, like a basking shark. Then you don't need to carry food.
This was me and Col on Saturday:

6538 calorie breakfast needed.
-
• #92
Did you just (2,608 / 40) * 100 to get what I'll burn on the 100? Because I think they're way, way out. Having said that, if I'm allowed to eat a 6,538 calorie breakfast I'll bloody enjoy it. What's that sandwich that Elvis used to eat? I'll have one of those. But hold the dying-on-the-shitter.

What paperwork did you lot get? I think I've lost some. I've got race number and Entry Card. That's enough, right?
-
• #94
Identity card, Entry card, Time card (with start time on), Race number.
-
• #95
Hmm. Time card. Nope.
-
• #96
Calories are way out on the garmin I think It's around half. I'd burnt something like 2 days worth on the last dynamo.
Still half of that c. 3000k is still a damn good breakfast.
-
• #97
Never needed the time card before, the number and entry card are enough. Anyone have any spare safety pins?
-
• #98
Jeez - you've actually got to wear the thing?
-
• #99
I don't really see why, it's not a sportive or a race and there's no proper timing. I suppose it's useful if you wipe out and they need to check your details or something.

Ha ha - that's the only reason I could think of too!
Well I'm back in Norwich all weekend, and I'm usually sitting on my arse at my girlfriend's place in town. So any chance to get out and ride is fine with me.
