  • Did a loop of Norwich today. Only about 35 miles but felt good, no mechanicals and it was warm and sunny. I am officially a happy man this evening.

  • If you scroll further up you'll see that a couple of us are south Londoners. Training ride?

  • Yes please, when and where and how far?

  • I reckon I could do this weekend, bank holiday etc

  • What start time did y'all get for this? Mine is 7.30am which is about perfect.

  • I'm somewhere near that. I know they say you can't switch, but I'm sure we can form a peloton if we want. I know Donnie's riding too.

  • It's odd. On the web site it says you can change your start time and they are only a guide but I've a non forum fried who is riding and he's been told that he can't change his start time to the same as mine. Don't know if this is because it's the 100m distance?

  • I'll need a mega stash of cakes to keep up with Donhou for 100 miles. They've never checked start times on either of the ones I've done, the only thing they actually bother with is the enforced break at half way because of health and safety gubbins. I vote we all meet up for the 0700 start and go from there.

  • Sounds good. I'll have a nice short journey to the start this year from Magdalen Street.

  • I may have to drive into Norwich, otherwise I've 6.5 miles to the start and I'm very lazy.

  • Is it OK to use the words lazy before a 100 mile ride?

  • I am lazy, it's my privilege as a roadie. Spend more to weigh less and sit behind other riders whenever possible.

  • Just booked my train tickets down. I'll be in Norwich Friday night at 10pm, leaving 5.30pm on Monday. Anyone fancy a gentle roll out on Saturday, just to get the legs working? Roll out of Norwich, quick pint and home?

  • South londoners: Post dates you are free for a ride and we could try and squeeze some in?
    I can do..
    17th, 20th (Before 11am), 21st, 24th (Morning) and 25th (In north norfolk)

  • In London I can do this Friday, any time, Saturday morning any time. Then I can do Monday any time and Tuesday morning in Norfolk.

  • I can do friday after 5:00, if you fancy night riding? Saturday is a struggle, since i start work at 9:30.

  • I'm not working until 3-4pm on Saturday, so don't mind riding later on Friday. How about we set off at 5pm and do a few laps of Richmond Park? My road bike is in Norwich so I'll be on the fixed and probably a tad slow - hope that's OK?

Should be in for that, need to remind myself what the road bike feels like.

  • We can have a slow ride to adjust things, get comfy and have a beer. Out to Reedham Ferry? That's around 30 miles as a loop.

  • Plus around 14 for me into Norwich and back. That should be quite the warm up.

  • I didn't know you'd moved. Where are you?

  • Excellent, whereabouts would you like to meet? I finish work at 5pm so It'll perhaps be 6/5:45 before I'm back but fixed is fine and dandy, I won't be going especially fast!

  • I'm in Hethersett now, it's very quiet.

I'm in Tooting, so normally head to Wandsworth then turn left. Although I normally get a bit lost en route...

May be up for this but will see closer to the time.
