I need new rims, my Deep Vs are on their last legs... Mavic XM719 or XM317? Running v-brakes, 26", 36 hole... Anyone got a new pair knockin' about?

Or Velocity NoBS? Anyone stocking them? Are they disk only?
-
• #804
I think they do Vs but the brake surface isn't machined.

Quite like the look of the XM317, looks tough and pretty cheap...

I've got a freewheel tool, socket and bar, bring the wheel/bike to throwins this week and I'll remove it for you. Josh is selling a 19t wi freewheel in the polo marketplace thread. Freewheel for life.

317s are pretty weak Joe. The alloy is much softer than the 7 series rims. Go with the 717 or 719 in my opinion...

You just have to twist to get the pawls to slip into the hub body's ratchets. Then you can just push it, but you need to make sure the seal seats properly. I think the tool only serves to make it go in evenly, like you said.
