Guys I'd be well up for it but I only have one free weekend this side of Christmas so am a little worried that who ever gets me draws the sort end of the straw as I can only play on the 4th December?

Not really - there are several other people in similar situations.

It's going to be a logistical challenge, but 15 games over 4 months should be achievable, especially if people are willing to play one-off games in their own time and subs can be used later too. We just need to prioritise the games of less-regular players when they are available.

Rob said yesterday that he's up for it as he'll be playing a lot more once it gets colder. He did seem a bit vague though so if/when he gets drawn into a team they'll need to keep in touch.

That comment sounded so bizzare first time i heard it...

With everybody in we have 19, we could do a rolling sub, maybe among the c players so it doesn't affect the game too much..

This would mean designating somebody as the rolling sub tho... so probably a bad idea. are there two more players we can scrape from somewhere?

i have mentioned Polo to a few cycling buddies but it never comes to fruition...
happy to dodge trees on a mtb but not willing to have a knock about, do not get it..

any volunteers for the rolling sub? it would be a good way to ply your trade in different teams before the inevitable injury/bike breaking of someone.

I don't mind playing rolling sub. Last one on the scene and all that. Not having the pressure to attend every week works for me too, my old Sunday morning riding friends are a bit pissed at my choosing polo over them!

Given my flakey attendance of late I think if AlbatRoss takes part and I'll slot in later in the season as an irregular sub/ref. Unless someone can find 2 more from somewhere.

OK, if LJ is the first sub/ref/super sub then we have our 18. Myself and Dan have seeded these players not by order, but just into three categories a, b and c.

To select the teams we were going to do a random draw, and then tweek the results to avoid some of the problem clashes such as: Andy and Stu being on the same team (The university swapoversituationthingy)

We are happy to do this between the two of us and then just tell you the teams, or we can all do it together (wheey)

If me and Dan do it and anybody has a real problem with their team then of course it can be changed..
