  • Holy crap! I need a secretary to manage my diary more than ever!

  • ^me too! Plus track should be open again by then so don't wanna commit until I know the timetable. (Def can't do 10th)

Ha! I deliberately didn't pick sunday's for the same reason. There was mention that ladies sessions would restart this Sunday but nor heard anything for ages. And the weather isn't looking good.

Roll on track!!! But yeah, woo! Ladies rides ; )

  • Fill in the poll ladies:

Have done - 31st looks like it could be a goer, litle pre-Classic warm-up.

    Done.

The 18th of March clashes with KT-Bee's Subterranean London ride, for anybody who's already on that one

Indeed - good spot! Thread here:

    Come!

I've done the forum Cambridge ride a couple of times - route here:

    http://connect.garmin.com/activity/130377425

I liked the detour via the tea hut we did the second time. Riding out via Lea Bridge Road is a bit of a bore, but fairly fast, and once you're out of London it's fine. Last time seemed to take us forever - multiple punctures and a v lengthy stop at the pub (pint and peanuts rule not fully enforced). It doesn't need to take 7 hours!

Ha! A 60 mile warm up for a 40 mile ride? Like it ; )

I can't do the 31st though :( When does the poll close? Guess will just have to wait and see what the majority decides, innit :)

  • When does the poll close?

I will just leave it open until we decide on the final date. So no deadline for now (or maybe end of February? so we can take it from there and start planning)

Oh - I thought you could. I thought CW was the only one that couldn't, and hoped we could collectively turn our powers of persuasion on her. Ah well. There are many other days.

  • Sweeeet done. This doodle thing is hella hi-tec, love it. You guys are smart.

I've ticked 31st/1st April, though might be on hols.

  • Hmm. I have a bike fit with Corrine/Scherrit on 31st. If that turns out to be the date for the ride, I'll move it.

  • ^oooo enjoy, i hear they're amazing :)

  • Pop in for a cuppa afterwards, I'm just down the road!

  • I'll take you up on that!

  • Ride to Cambridge! Count me in :)

  • How about a trip here ladies?

http://hillingdoncyclecircuit.org.uk/ it appears to be open to the public when not booked for regular sessions so maybe we could do a sat night when the weather gets better/clocks change?

Could do a ride out West, couple of laps of the above and then West drinks for the likes of Clefty and LaW?

    Or a sunday trip sometime?

  • ^ good idea!

  • @ Poots - I like that idea.

  • Ooh thats a cracking idea - if we do it in the summer, I could even be pushed to host a ladies summer bbq...

  • Summer event. Consider yourself 'pushed' Clefty :-).

Not allowed to happen 15-22 June (or thereabouts) as I'll be on a LonJoG with the CC crowd.

  • I really hope I can make this one. I've been out of action too long. Although if I am allowed back on the bike by then I'm a little worried I'll be too unfit to make it out of London / have forgotten how to ride it.

  • Okay so I'm having surgery on the Monday before the 31st, I definitely don't think I'm leading/attending any Cambridge ride.
I hope we do it again though!
Anyone up for a pootle somewhere on the 17th though? Seems green box heavy on the doodle.

(Worry not it's just cataract surgery but as I'm young and twitchy I get general anaesthetic is all)

  • I like the "reason". Good girl ;-)

  • Oh yeah and the 17th sounds good! Lets ride somewhere!

  • I can't make the 31st so a ride on the 17th sounds good to me!

  • I can do 17th too. Where we going?

  • Out for the 17th now I'm afraid - going to see my gaaaawwwweous goddaughter in Devon.

  • 17th is grand by me although I have a leaving do at work the night before but I shall remain diligent to not get too drunk(!!). But hey, that means only one SMALL glass of wine these days!
Also, is it the Subterranean Ride the next day?
BeckSTAR - I'll give you some tips on how to make the most of your anaesthetic next time I see ya ;)
