Thee Royal Mail (Parcelforce) FTW .
Go away with your personal anecdotal woes. They are rubbish lately. In the last 2 months Ive used them twice. One delivery - supposedly signed for, 24 hours guaranteed - arrived in 72 hours so it was useless when it arrived. A couple of weeks later they left a fully branded, obvious box containing a fairly expensive kitchen appliance on my front step, not signed for, in the rain, free for anyone to steal, on a council estate. I think the only reason it was still there when I got home was that no one thought they could really be that stupid...

Meanwhile, four cars ran the same lights, 385 people died as a result of car accidents and one heroic cyclist saved the lives of 182 orphan children when he rescued them from a burning building.

+1 Alas, there's no point arguing with these people. They are the kind who will take a disliking to a cyclist if they merely look a bit too happy or too sporty or whatever. -
• #29
I never look happy and I think my soaked t-shirt/shorts combo removes the "sporty".

In that case you self-confessed scruffy, sweaty, miserable looking git, they would have to hate you for being Australian*, coming over here and stealing our women etc etc.
*I can say this since I am one.
BTW - this conversation shouldn't really be on this thread should it?
-
• #31
you have been stealing our women?
-
• #32
or are you a sweaty miserable git?

• #33
i am a sweary miserable git

Same thing happened to me so I rang up customer service and they told me they had no trace of it whatsoever, according to them, it didn't even exist. They then rang me back to tell me it was at my local warehouse so I went down with some ID and collected it.
IDIOTS!

I have had many difficulties when getting stuff delivered by YODEL from Amazon so +1
The missus bought some SD cards for her camera, they were sent Home delivery network because of the value. They tried to deliver once, then refused to try again. Amazon just sent her new ones rather than deal with the hassle of the courier, sums it up really!

Just received an email from Gap saying:
'Thank you for your inquiry regarding your recent Gap.eu order...We apologize that you have not received your packages. Unfortunately we have shipped the package which is missed (sic?) with the carrier. Most of your items are currently available to be reshipped with a signature required to ensure proper delivery. We'd be happy to reship the available items or issue a refund to your visa card.'
Thing is I do now have my parcel no thanks to Yodal. I should and will fess up but I am sorely tempted not to.

Do not use yodel, and do not use Home delivery network, are both statements that I'd agree with given my experience of having to travel to the border of Kent to pick up a not so bulky item, as there was no way of contacting anyone to arrange a redelivery, just a stone wall. One of many experiences.
Do not you Yodel
Do not use Home delivery Network
(Do not use HDNL)
-
• #38
Just to be clear was that
Do not use yodel
Do not use home delivery networkDue to poor service?
-
• #39
Yes, it was:
Do not use yodel
Do not use home delivery networkI think it was due to poor service.
-
• #40
Excuse me? I didn't quite catch that.
Can you repeat it, please.
I didn't quite get the whole statement, but I think it was something along the lines of:
Home Delivery Network and Yodel both have a piss poor level of customer service, do not use them.

Hopefully my order with Ribble isn't being shipped via Yodel or Home Delivery Network (HDNL). Despite getting it sent to my work - a Hospital that's open 24hrs- what are the chances they'll 'drop it off' with a neighbour ? That would be poor service !
-
• #42
not as bad as some delivery company who couldn't find the right shop to sent my package, almost every time (a huge Evans wth Evans written all over).
more than one delivery company seemed to mess this up.

Mrs Bobbo ordered a package to be delivered to the hospital where she works. YODEL dropped it off at the front reception desk despite the parcel being clearly labelled with her department and room number with instructions to ring her on her mobile when it arrived so she could come and collect it. The receptionist didn't even bother to look her up on the staff directory and just put the package in the stationary cupboard. It took her 6 WEEKS of wrangling with the customer service team to get the name of the person who singed for it before she eventually tracked down her by then dusty package*.
Not entirely YODELS fault but they are still crap.
*not a euph

• #45
No but on the delivery instructions it did have her mobile number and BIG letters telling the delivery guy to ring her as well!

Yet none of you muppets have tagged this thread 'crap' or other variations. You're fired!

As of right now, google suggestions for "yodel are" are: *
yodel are crap
yodel are rubbish
yodel are terrible- this sentence makes me feel a bit like a pirate
