My wife, when we lived together, adopted an extreme 11, almost like a bloody starfish. So we would be a 10/11, exactly like the above chart but I was forever on the cusp of falling out of bed. She also snored like an old sow and refused to admit it. I'm more a"recovery position" 17 now.

Ah, Teesside. Glad to see the back of the place.
Now that I think of it, over the years I’ve shuffled further and further away. Move any further and I’d be a foreigner. -

Council cut artificial grass on roundabout
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-somerset-61043514
Not so much WTF that they are striking weeds on plastic grass - more that they use plastic grass in the first place.
Anyone using plastic grass should take a long, hard look at their soul.

It just needs a blanket ban. like more obvious environmental vandalism such as fly tipping or dumping sewage, leeching microplastics into the soil and water systems ought to be seen for what it is.

Apart from the possible exception of indoor sports pitches I agree wholeheartedly.
Also all council maintained verges and roundabouts should be mandated for native wildflowers (and certainly not those horrible little bushes you find in industrial estates that flower with empty crisp packets).

According to the “I Hate” thread plastic grass is A-OK

Wild. Thanks though, I've now signed the petition. Here it is for anyone interested.

Council near me left them unmown for May last year, made the larger roundabouts very dangerous as the sightlines were ruined...

Culture Secretary smashing it out of the park (although visiting the orchards in Herefordshire would blow her mind)

They're just trolling us now.
Edit or maybe not.

I'm not a fan at all, but this is a fake.

Does bring to mind that not-faked telly interview with some voters in (maybe) Harrogate a few years ago, where they argued voting for the Tories because 'Under Labour we only had one food bank, under the Tories we have nine'.

Genuine question, why is it fake?
-
• #13270
That seems at odds with road management trying to reduce block sightlines to slow traffic.

It's not real?
-
• #13272
I thought so, suggestion above is that it’s not
-
• #13273
The reason it's fake is that it's not real, it's made up, a fabrication, a potato chop, there's a full fact link posted by Will under it to confirm it as such.

- Much of twitter ends up indexed by Google, especially famous people tweeting things that would get a lot of reaction and links. Zero trace of this tweet on web search, zero trace of people responding to it.
- Same Google search will bring you a list of fact checkers saying it isn't real.
Really, checking if it's real is the first thing you should have done. For your own benefit, as well as for ours.
