I've been using one of these:
I change the filters fortnightly.
The filter pictured is due to be changed this weekend.
Note the difference in colour of the edges (which aren't exposed to incoming air) and the centre of the filter (which is exposed to incoming air).
I'd rate this as between three and four times easier to breathe through than a surgical mask is.
Added bonus is that it frightens children, and some adults.
It also demonstrates quite well why Sadiq is trying to clean up the air in London.

Total shit show. But I wonder if the 50/50 liability issue was due to him technically riding an illegal bike. BC requires that "a cycle operated on a highway must be equipped with a brake that will enable the person operating that cycle to make the braked wheels skid on dry, level, and clean pavement.” That is, a front brake only on on a fixed wheel bike is not legal. From the picture, it's hard to tell. I can see a front caliper on the mangled fork stumps, but cannot see any levers on the bars which makes me think it's a single level mounted close to the stem. Single chaniring could also be a giveaway that it's fixed. Or worse, single speed and still only one brake.

To clarify, I think the judgement is ludicrous, but that might go some way to explaining it.

It's a variation on child's pose. If you have the hip flexibility it's very relaxing.
