  • well, also for when she's getting muddy. maybe mostly for that.

  • would like one. how do i go about getting? x

Anybody feeling short of LOOK logos? This stem cap was supposed to be laser etched, but they engraved it by mistake. £5 posted, no screw (needs M6 countersunk screw of whatever length reaches your star nut/expander etc.) Obviously suits modern ones best, but those are the ones with AHeadsets anyway. A white enamel paint fill would probably be ideal, see the stem caps thread for people's home colouring efforts.

  • Your LONDON|ST.TROPEZ will be on the way in about a week (regrettable delay on the laser etched ones due to unexpected wastage of anodised blanks), if you want this LOOK|LOOK|LOOK|LOOK one too bung me a fiver

  • Mine. Wouldn't change it for anything!

  • I like the colour matching bottle cages. Lovely bike, reminds me of mine :)

  • Cheers, awesome ride. Might go for some slightly less deep wheels though.

  • 3.5 scoblebricks too, impressive

  • Mine. Wouldn't change it for anything!

    Your quick releases are open!!!

  • Wouldn't change it

Might go for some slightly less deep wheels though.

    .

  • Ok, maybe apart from the wheels!

  • If everything goes alright with the new frame I just got on ebay, my KG176 (54cm square) will be up for sale soon. PM me if you're interested.

  • That's really nice

  • Thanks noiser.

(frame and forks are for sale, not the whole bike)

  • Oh gawd that's lovely.

  • ^^ been gawping at that since it came up on ebay. A 281 in Credit Agricole colours is basically my dream old LOOK, but that one's too large for me. Be interesting to see what it goes for, complete 281s seem to come up on Troc Velo for about the starting price of that frame alone, but I guess they're more common in France and that one looks to be in very good condition.

  • slowly getting there... a few cosmetic changes so far really, but it looks much tidier. I've got a box in the spare room with a slowly increasing stock of da7700; when it starts to overflow I'll start swapping pieces onto it.

So that's everything. Picked up a DA seatpost and bb last night too, and some better condition pd-7410s arrived this morning. Tried sticking the post in the frame, which according to the catalogue I found is definitely a 27.2, to some bother; previous owner had stuck a 26.8 in there and done things up tight. Hrumph. Bit of force and some leverage later and it's in place. Hopefully that's the last of the destruction I'll encounter. Putting the rest of the shiny shiny on tomorrow. Exciting times.

Could probably do with a DA headset, but have to draw the line somewhere and I'm tired of trawling ebay and spending money.

  • mmmmm

  • Before:

    After:

    A little tidier, much shinier.
7700, with 7400 seatpost and 7410 pedals. Good enough.
    I'm done now, I promise.

    Still after a wheel/set that'll take a hyperglide cassette though :(

  • Looks ace. What's with the little 'Ekoi' stickers at the valve holes? Suitably french i suppose.

  • I think they said Roi before the brake took the top of the sticker off. I have no idea.

  • What's the format for modern LOOK frame serial numbers? I'm trying to register mine but it keeps saying "Incorrect serial number".

  • ^I have this problem too
