no problemo! what about meeting in Archway? I think Xander will be rolling with us from the bottom of Swains, Poots from Tottenham and me from Crouch End so I guess is sort of convenient for everybody? Any other ideas? Time?

Looks like I better go and re-recce tomorrow...is there anyone else who has done the route before? I cycled the whole way a couple of weeks ago by myself and I'm fairly confident with a turn guide and iphone but I apologise in advance if there's a balls up

OK so we have 10 miles from Archway to Clapham S and I'm sure we don't wanna rush just before adding another 55 to our trip don't we??? We are leaving for Brighton at 9.30 but I'm sure we should be at CS a bit earlier to recover from this additional miles hahaha
I think it shouldn't take longer then 60? minutes to get to CS (SLOW ride!). I would suggest 8ish for Archway? Xander? Poots? Do you guys think it's to early?

With regard to Norths heading Souths, I reckon I'm actually going to roll down to Brick Lane for a bagel and coffee and then head over London Bridge and go that way, so I reckon I'll see you all there? You're all welcome to come by route also if wanted but appreciate it's bit out of the way for proper North types to go E...

So tapsnbath what time do you think we should meet in Archway? I know 8am sounds really early but I guess this way we can have a little rest in CS. SLOW RIDE ok?

Lolabelle, I'm happy to meet at 8 as a nice leisurely, energy conserving roll to Clapham sounds perfect. I don't want to rush and it would be nice to have a coffee and relax when we get to the common. :)

How do you feel about meeting at Kentish Town instead? Outside Kentish Town tube station? Or if you prefer Archway then that's also good with me!

I think it marginally quicker/more direct for me in the NE...straight down to London Bridge (with a slight bagel swerve) then down through Borough over E&C and follow the road straight into Clapham..

hurm, this means I am no longer obliged to ride the tank... tempted to take the gazelle for its first outing but the handlebars are too narrow, the bartape is seemingly frictionless, I can hardly reach the brakes and the saddle is well 'ard. still...
