  • I could imagine quite a few good operational reasons for Ashford over Perivale regardless of shithole-ness. I would be interested to know how much strategic analysis was done before commissioning design work. Maybe it was just a punt to explore a concept more than anything ? I havn’t read the article but I don’t remember seeing much more than some concept renders ? Wasn’t anywhere near planning was it ?
