Yeah. I’m following an interesting tv stand company on insta which could be a more flexible option? Oddly the 2022 models of the serif have more than doubled in price. Also my frame cracked I’m three months and Samsung support is dire.

Yeah Serifs are wildly expensive now.

2022: all things are wildly expensive now.
-
• #4680
Yeah but even more so than you'd expect, not really sure what's going on? The first gen were pretty expensive, then they went cheap for a bit, and now loads more? Samsung suck either way.

Mate who works for a fashion retailer said everything is about to jump as sterling currency issues kick in X by inflation X energy costs.
Fun times. But if you're on the fence about buying something, it's probably better to do it now than later.

Ha! You're welcome, you have some nice kit.

OH JOY.
Only have an entire loft to buy, no wozza. -

I think they've changed the screen to matte which they've used to justify a big price bump. Can often get hefty discounts if you buy from via Totum (new NUS card site).

Anyone see the grand design in Dulwich from last week ? Have to say i thought it was great with a seriously impressive level of finish for the price

I bought a serif style stand from a company called jalg.

went and had a look outside, looked really nicely done. shit loads of huge tree logs in the garden though, she will have to get the fence down to remove them.
was a smart move financially as next door was up for 1.1 (i think)

yes! impressive how quickly it all went together (10 months or so?), and the architect and PM seemed like thoroughly lovely chaps too.
looking forwards to catching up with the lighthouse one this week, remember seeing it the first time round and hearing the woes of the family involved in various articles since.

I was on holiday in croyde this summer - fancy helichopper landed on the headland, apparently Harry Styles has bought the place for his mum.

Nice place that. Any idea on where the built-in shelving comes from? Looks like if could be something affordable/OTP/Ikea

At least the lighthouse is finally finished, but what an overblown unnecessary building, albeit with nice views. They all seemed happier at the end [good], but Euphoria CD man absolutely not hiding that his priority was completing his mansion first, family second. I far prefer to watch the smaller, more modest Dulwich type projects where some proper thought has to go into design and cost.

Found the lighthouse really depressing, probably missed out on his daughters growing up, the immense stress his wife was under was visible which contributed to his marriage failing. Ultimately has to sell. Priorities all wrong IMHO.

Nice people, working hard, being reasonable and producing a great result. Incredible site. Much enjoyed - great example of how an Architect + Builder one stop shop can smash it.

Yeah - the design was great. The finish was spot on considering the budget. She managed to squeeze a Bulthaup kitchen in and 5-6k of bbq and pizza oven on the rooftop.
I immediately Googled Romanian window suppliers afterwards! 😅

Not sure but yeah certainly looks OTP

I think this season has been a nice mix of projects - the lighthouse one aside.
I certainly thought the Dulwich house showed what a great working relationship looks like - vs the guy who fired everyone, gave up his job and did it all himself.

So what I would do.

P.s. how nice are Hector and Matt?

Just watched the lighthouse episode. Awful looking place where somehow all the rooms looked small despite the buildings massive scale?
Perfect example of male ego x2 (client and architect) plus focus on incorrect success metrics (destroy life vs building complete). -

Never trust a man with a soul patch and frosted tips
You can remove the legs though, no? Thinking about getting one...
