I'd feel less self concious riding a cat around though.

• #353
Excluding family, is there anybody else up there to see you though.

Ceiling cat.
He sees me touch myself.

Then why am I watching myself touch myself????
I'm taking the 29er out tonight, to clear my somewhat muddled mind.
...with its slack angles, and 2.55" tyres.
When I get back from my commute on the CX bike.
...with its road friendly angles and tyres.
Why would you want the handling charateristics to ride more technical trails, but no clearance for the tyres designed for them? Sorry Whytre, I simply do not understand your bike.

shame that all the nice raleigh bikes are US only.
-
• #363
And that the valveless tubes are only available in US too....

And the infinite focal length cameras needed to do these product shots with both the drive side seat stay *and * the right hand brake lever conveniently obscuring their opposite numbers.

Does the SS have an EBB?
Why is rear brake cable routed under the down tube on something designed for off-roading?Very close though.
-
• #366
the brake cable is enclosed so it shouldn't make a difference.

Still a bit dodge. You can catch it on stuff.

It's right were you put your hand when shouldering the bike.

Looks v. similar to the Croix de Fer.
The Genesis Vapour Disc is nice! -

Just cycled to work on my CX frame and noticed the mech cables go down the DT. So maybe the optimal CX routing is somewhat different to MTB.
I'd like to see more bikes like it though. Such a better option for a multi-use bike, than some sluggish upright hybride, with a stupid suspension fork.
When did the Kaffenback get updated?
Disc tabs, swap-outs, rack'n'guard mounts....seems super practical. -
• #371
Not long ago I think, 'bout a month ago? the Kaffenback is indeed looking better spec wise nowaday.

The new Felt Breed.
It has modern things like BB30, Tapered Headtube. I think it's 135mm spaced at the back and uses a splined freehub on the back wheel.
Does this make switching cogs easier?
Do you use cogs from cassettes rather than track cogs?
Does it mean the wheel is dished?
Will it be coming to the UK anyway? -
• #373
The felt looks sick...any ideas on cost?
As for the Kaffenback, I've got to say I really like the new colour scheme, I take it you can get dropouts for ss?
-
• #374
I think it comes with swappable dropouts so you can run it with a derailleur or as a singlespeed.

Will it be coming to the UK anyway?I had the previous Felt Breed with same/similar singlespeed freehub. You just use shimano spec single speed cogs (i.e. those for conversions). The wheel was not dished as the freehub is only around 1cm wide. Switching cogs is same as switchign a cassette so no harder or easier than a freewheel removal to me.
I actually prefer my screw on single speed with WI ENO freewheel.
£20 says it will be good.
