  • Max looks like a sexy lion.

London Ladies did awesome, on and off court. Great atmosphere, looked like it ran smoothly, great games to watch. Awesome job.

Hope the French dude heals up and everyone has safe travels home.

  • lost a set of allenkeys.. anyone picked em up? Had a great time watching btw!

  • As somebody who has barely watched any polo since the early days in the old Brick lane courts, I have to say I was amazed by how far things have come!
The quality of play, and the skills have progressed so much.
The slickness, the speed, the moves, and the aggressive play in some of the games was nuts.
Seeing players that I haven't seen for years, and seeing how good they are now was great.
Even down to seeing how specialist the bikes are now, and how well they work for the job in hand.
Todd was a perfect example of somebody riding their bike like it was part of them.
Tornadoes blew me away, if you'll excuse the pun...very fast, very slick, great teamwork. Also poloholica played some great games with great teamwork, as did Penis flytrap, and Fish and chippeys.

I really enjoyed myself, and from where I was standing it looked like a very well organized, and very smoothly run tournament. It would be good to see more 'all girls' teams next year as there seemed to be enough great players out there.
    Well done all involved!

  • Anyone???

Anyone picked up my glasses? Someone handed it over to the reg counter yesterday and when I asked today it's no longer there. Someone safekeeping it?

  • Best tourney ever... Time for sleep now... x

  • Thanks to everyone involved in organizing this awesomeness. What a great premiere to European womens tournaments.
    Can't wait for more!
    Agata

  • Thanks to everyone for a great weekend, really nice to see some old and new faces of polo, thanks to Nik and Erin and all the LHBPC for making this happen. What a fantastic tourney - I hope it will be the start of many more women's polo events

Thanks to all the teams for putting up with me and Poots ordering you around and generally being gobby, and of course muchos thanks to Poots my partner in crime - I have your lighter -HA!

  • Who were the highest placing all female teams??

  • Shotguns placed 3rd overall and highest placed female teams, Elena (MVF), Johanna and Anna - awesome to watch.
Tornadoes were =5th overall and 2nd all girl team. I'd have to consult trusty John H for the next couple.

Europe slayed, well done girls, i was so impressed with the standard of play.

    Big write up coming soon.

Off to take apart the fences for pick up, then to Look Mum for a last farewell to the polo people.

  • Awesome tourney, brilliant weekend. Well done Erin and Nik for organising! And everyone else who helped out of course.
Could barely put my socks on I ache so much, can't wait for next year!

  • Superb tourney, awesome standard of play. Again! Soon!

  • Nice work ladies. Loved watching Shotguns and Tornadoes kick ass. Next year do it all female.

  • Yeah, real shame how Tornadoes and Shotguns didn't get to at each other. Would have loved to see that match!

And the reaction of the MVF at the news she was getting a custom built/designed frame as a prize was a real highlight of the weekend.

  • "Block the cock" - best heckle of the weekend.

  • Amazing tournament, amazing polo, amazing LLPC!!

I had such a great time and really loved seeing it all come together this weekend. Erin and Nik, you guys are fucking heroes!! To organise all of this and still play out of your skins and show everyone just how strong the London Ladies community is, it was absolutely inspirational.

Thanks to my team mates Trevor and Sophie for such a great tournament, and thanks to the Diamonds for being awesome even though I was just a sub. I'm so gutted about your (other) wrist, Helen! But it was really fun to take your place ;) Max and Zoe are awesome.

I know there were a few strong words exchanged due to the only contention, which was where do the boys stand in a ladies majority tournament, but I really believe that this was the way it needed to be and that it was a huge success. We've now got a huge ladies community that will only keep growing, which means next year we can have that women's tournament I'm sure many thought we could or should have had this year.

Thanks for everything, you were all amazing!

  • What a great weekend. It was so nice to see so many ladies faces on and around court. LLPC and the boys did a great job and i feel really lucky to be a part of this.

The Dymonds were so much fun to play with i was really proud of our team work and Max for winning most valuable male. What a star.

Thanks Ade for being our super sub! i couldnt have wished for anyone else to take the spot. keeping it in the LLPC family.

even if i didnt make it to the end. i can say i had a ball!

  • Champs:

Well done Erin, Nik & Adrienne.... was a really awesome tournament to come and watch.
I had a great weekend catching up with freinds who have been stolen by polo.... Will come and watch again next year for sure!

Will post some more photos up later today when I get a chance.

  • HB is a fantastic achievement - chapeau to the originators and executors - along with the NS and the significantly enhanced LO, this has been a helluva year for British polo!

  • what a shot! makes me smile.

  • Had an amazing weekend thanks to everyone who was there. Erin and Nik let's take it to the kitchen next year. Great tourney girls, roll on ladies army!
London polo ladies I love you all you fuckin awesome!!!!!

  • "What the Til just happened?"

One of my favourite moments - watching Til single-handedly beating a team 5-1.
    Awesome.

  • well done everybody - seemed like a fantastic tourney all round.
Some epic polo was on show and it was great to see friends from both near and far.
Looking forward to seeing how the tourney progresses in the future - surely it can only get bigger and better!

  • My ten years old laptop is crumbling, unfortunately... my USB ports dont seem to be working any more so I cant get the pics off my phone.
Others probably have better shots anyway...

Well done to all players, helpers, organisers. Top class tourney. Look forward to next year.
It also seems to have spurred on a few new beginners to come to Peckham for a first shot. Very positive.
