  • Cider sponsors, awesome.

Shame I just gave up drinking.

  • I'll take a couple as well. List?

    Woody (ASBO): 2 poles
    Chris (Anti Polo): 2 poles

If you want any poles, please pay at http://www.lhbpa.org/shop beforehand.

Then someone will have to offer to bring them down.

  • I can bring them down without too much hassle if it's cool to collect from you sometime this week?

  • Yeah, which reminds me I need to get those baskets back at some point. And maybe another box of rims

  • Hey guys team thor need a third for this please PM me!

Paid for four for me and Chris Kaos, could you pick them up for me please Jono? I'll buy you a court-side pint ;)

  • I wondered when he'd give up the broom

Consensus was some hoser would probably complain, and I had enough time to get used to a "normal" mallet. The nut on the side is probably the worst bit.

Can I get two poles too!? Do I need to pay lhbpa first or can I pick them up and pay at Bristol?

Also desperately need a mallet head (or two), does anyone have a single capped head they can bring down to Brizzle for mallet making sesh on Friday night?!?

Current shaft has a crimp from Sunday and mallet head has cracked :(

If you pay first that would be best for us, otherwise it depends on someone taking cash, which is a ball ache.

If the heads arrive before the weekend I can send one down as well.

  • still plenty of purpley pink heads left!

  • Srlys? I would love a pink one!

  • I'm on the 0700 train from Paddington. With bike reservation.

  • Srlys? I would love a pink one!

yup, they are on the lhbpa shop

but we're not making it down til early saturday morning.

who's going friday night? could give to them...

  • Butcombe Bitter (4.0% ABV)

Awesome that you are selling cheap good beer. But too bad it's light beer!

  • Keep your mind on the game, drunky!
    ;-)

  • Is anyone going down Friday day/evening that can take some poles and heads with them (6 poles and a few heads I think)?

The Bristol folk need to build there mallets before Saturday morn and I'm on a Saturday morn train...

  • erin i think i am picking one up for matt?

also me and jamie really need a third for this! please, if you know of anybody let them know, no one in cambridge can come.

  • There will be the following booze on sale at the event.

    Butcombe Bitter (4.0% ABV)

The West Country's favourite beer derives from pure Mendip Spring Water…notably bitter, clean tasting, refreshingly dry and distinctive. Made with 100% best Maris Otter malt (the Rolls Royce of malts), together with a blend of (never divulged) English hop varieties…Butcombe Bitter is a moreish Mendip masterpiece!

At last – a premium quality cider that tastes of apples!*

                                      **Nose:** Fresh and fruity.
**Palate:** Robust apple taste with a slight bite.
                                      **Colour:** Golden Straw.
**Comments: **Ashton Press is made from all English apples, pressed locally and conditioned in oak vats, producing a wonderful medium dry, strong, golden cider of superb quality. A wholly owned subsidiary of Butcombe Brewery, The Long Ashton Cider Co. was purchased in 2003 to celebrate the achievements of the National Fruit and Cider Institute, based at the Long Ashton Research Station near Bristol, which enjoyed 100 "fruitful" years until its closure in 2003.
**At 4.8% ABV this medium dry cider is slightly stronger and marginally drier than say, Westons Stowford Press.**

There will also be a lager on sale too (TBC but probably Carling or similar - non draft).

THE GOOD NEWS IS, WE WILL BE CHARGING JUST £1 PER PINT ACROSS THE WHOLE EVENT!! THAT'S THE SAME PRICE IT WAS IN THE EARLY 90'S!! Hacked Off won't be drinking, but will be encouraging everyone else to drink as much as possible (especially before they play us!).

Oh God - there goes any possibility of 8-ball scoring anything let alone qualifying from rounds. I only need to bring a fiver and itll be the best weekend for a while... Read it and weep Ady. Next team name: Pistatpolo

  • Paracetamol and alka seltzer...

    +1 to that

I remember the last time I played against you when you were drunk. One of the funniest games of polo ever. Didn't you take away a nice injury from that game? I remember you falling off A LOT.
