Wow, I knew you did some furniture, but had no idea you also did interiors. Kudos on the work you've done with Redemption Roasters. I've been to their Smithfield shop, and it was absolutely lovely in there. They're also a great company/concept.

Thanks! Smithfield RR is one of my faves, nice compact space, simple, just let the nice timber do the talking.
I’m so lax at putting new projects up. I’ve done two kitchens and loads of smaller things that no one’s seen!

Cushions for a built in bench... suggestions? Default to @Tenderloin

New chair on the go. These are getting an oak ply back and seat, dark brown-green frame.
Might do a gloss fire engine red one for myself. Quite 70s Italian vibes with the fat oval tube.

To those in the know... What do you think we’d need to budget to have something like this made? Really like it. We’re not in London.

Lovely - Probably any good joiner / cabinet maker could do that. One on IG springs to mind https://instagram.com/nathanberrydesign?igshid=1u27f6w104bnc Devon based but works up and down the south I think. Or find a local joinery shop and show them the picture and avoid the ones who suck their teeth.

Whereabouts are you?
Cost I guess will depend on the exact construction materials that looks like oak and maybe another lighter wood. That one looks to be a standalone unit as it’s not scribed into the space but it looks big what 3m in length? I’d be budgeting 3kish for that. There’s lots of great furniture builders on Instagram - Quanstrom Studio is in Norfolk and just did a media unit slightly similar -

Weird never saw this. Do you mean you want a cushion for the whole bench or just a couple cushions to add for comfort?
-
• #592
These are fit - are they to take the laminated ply pieces from the other thread ? Flat seat and curved back or both curved ?
-
• #593
Yep, these are the ones. Curved seat and back. Off getting powdercoated just now.

We got some of these for the sofa in a complementary Kvadrat fabric to the sofa. They’re very well filled and made

Did you buy those caps for the tube or cut them yourself? Looks very neat
-
• #596
These were done by hand from 25x3 bright flat bar. I’ve got about 40 stools to do next month, so 160 tubes to cap. They’ll be laser cut.

Cheeeeeeers... I think you are a pay grade above me though, not sure I could do £100 on a single cushion.

Some lovely work there! If I ever do move out of The London (unlikely) I want to get a place big enough for a workshop and all the tools that make making things possible.

@Sheppz @Tenderloin
Some really nice bits on their sites, thanks for sharing. We’ve just moved to Bath. Not sure we can drop £3K with all the other house bits going on.
Skagerak Jut and Hay New Order were the off the shelf contenders but could do with longer and much more storage.

No worries - you could achieve a similar look using Ikea kitchen cabinets and plykea doors etc in birch ply with a white osmo oil. Use end panels between the cabs to get the framed look maybe. Again a local joinery shop might cut doors to fit and make a couple of open cabs for u - I'd hope that would be less than £3k.
That rug looks to me like it's very rare vintage. Probably unusual colours and 60 years old or something.
If you want a new rug it'll be a shit load cheaper than that.
