** In response to Levon’s passing **
By Bob Dylan
"He was my bosom buddy friend to the end, one of the last true great spirits of my or any other generation. This is just so sad to talk about. I still can remember the first day I met him and the last day I saw him. We go back pretty far and had been through some trials together. I'm going to miss him, as I'm sure a whole lot of others will too."

there's a Bob Dylan shop on beak street for Tempest's release. taking promotion to extremes? I don't know, I'm a bit bemused by it. still, might take a look if I have time in the next few days...

Bob Dylan ride anyone? -

Listened to Tempest and was impressed. Moved from the start by the Duquense whistle linking to past songs about trains rollingly optimistic through dark murderous places balladic simplicity and convoluted epic Titanic tales Leo sketching and watchmaster dreaming. Tunes of rhythm and blues both Celtic and Yank' English and rank ***** thats 5 stars from me. Roll on John Lennon's fine finale of lighter waving anthemic joy warming the cockles of any old scouser. A perfect gift from Bob to me for my birthday.

Last song Dylan did that was worth listening to? Anything after 1969?

'Blood on the Tracks' is one of his best albums and that was after 1969. If you're looking specifically for a song then 'Tangled up in Blue' is a good start.
