one thing i like about NFT’s is the concept of ownership, something that as a photographer who makes a living generating content is constantly being eroded.

it’s actually a motion controlled time-lapse.
i could film it but the light source i use doesn’t give me a high enough shutter speed plus i cant tweak things in post as easily.

You can buy a physical copy of the artwork or an NFT that entitles you to claim a physical copy within the next three years, just seems pointless

maybe it's supposed to be like a commodities future, i.e. you're expected to sell it before it matures and you have a salty seaman calling asking where you want your 5 tonnes of pork bellies

you're missing the point. there is utility in these JPEGs. For example, you own one, you unlock membership/loyalty discounts and so forth. There are many worthless JPEGs , but there are also ones with utility.

A lot of this stuff reminds me of the canvases hung on the Hyde park railings.
i guess there is a market for everything.

I mean I could say no offence but they sound worth as much as brewdog shares 😅
