  • Avec Winston?

  • maybe, missing me?

  • Always.

  • This shit's just gone NS.

Those of you worried that you can't make it: don't worry. I don't even know if my team can make this. The whole point behind the NS is that you don't have to go to every event. Results come from the pool of all your results (top 3 or 4 performances), not the sum of all your results. We've got 1 event done; 3 events in the calendar; 1 confirmed, but without a date; and 3 more that will hopefully get worked out. That is a lot of tournaments to show off your polo skills.

So. Don't worry, and instead be pumped about more UK polo and another NS event!

  • great love the fact that so much NS is starting! (even if i ave never read the thread) :)

  • OP updated.

  • 't'chan' - so simple yet so good. Who was that?

  • Teams so far:

    Netto - MCR
    ASBO - MCR
    Hacked Off - Bristol

  • me again

  • Good meeting with the council and Cliff Hanger today. Bike polo tourney in Sheffield is definatley going to go ahead first weekend of July. Will have a camping field with bar/music and secure bike parking as part of the cliff hanger festival of outdoor sports. All looking very good. Firmer details to follow soon.

So do we still have to pay to get into the event? I checked on the website and couldn't find any info on prices etc but it was mentioned in the OP that we might have to.

  • we are in the process of clarifying this and will feedback ASAP.

  • racing pigchans, amazing

  • Teams so far:

    Netto - MCR
    ASBO - MCR
    Hacked Off - Bristol
    Spring Break

  • Point grubbers.

I'm going to this sans team. Could be interested in playing if anyone's looking...

Or I could just get really drunk and heckle Bibby.

  • Btw, you can get really cheap tickets on megabus (train). I saw a go out Friday, return Monday deal for 6 quid. No cheep trains on Sunday at all though. But you can get one for 12.50 with a transfer on nationalrail.

  • O'rly

  • rly. I booked my outward journey already (5 quid) on Friday. Need to decide when to come back.

  • For anyone looking to book travel, whilst detailed scheduling will depend on number of teams, the event will be open from 10.30 am to 6.30pm on both the Saturday and the Sunday.
On the Saturday, we'd like to get teams registered and the first games started by 11am. With this in mind, I'd suggest looking for trains that get in about 9.45am at the latest.

For anyone coming from Manchester, you may want to look into getting a train that stops at Dore and Totley station as this will be a shorter ride than from the city centre.

  • Yeah the site crashed on me!

So my calendar brings league party, Cambridge, barca, Sheffield, Edinburgh, London open with lake district mountain bike trip in between!

    NS=awesome

  • Tickets booked. Out on Friday (£5.50), back x2 on Monday (£6.50), plus Adrienne's ticket out on Sunday (£11.15).

    About £12 each return! Awesome.

  • Teams so far:
