• Oh yeah, raft.

Did it look something like this, Louis?

  • I have an image now of louis being ship wrecked on a desert island, ala Robinson crusoe style.

  • God, I knew I was going to get asked questions aboutthis I couldn't answer.
Quebec to Norway I think, my dad may have exaggerated the time (or I might have... Probably we both did) basically he got a lift on a tanker, they usually have a room or two that they rent as long as you don't mind eating shit food with the crew and having very little to do for a long time.

I can check my facts if you really care?

Yeah, I've looked into it as well. From Montreal (Quebec) and NYC. What I discovered was usually around a week. I thought 2 months may have been from Seattle, around the Americas, and then over to Europe :)

Anyway, in my searches prices work out to be slightly more expensive than flying. But, when you consider you have room and board for all those days, it's not such a bad deal (if you don't mind being in the middle of the Atlantic for a few days).

  • its €80 return for sail and rail dublin to london with a bike, its €80 return for a bike on a plane before you buy your flight ticket. the difference is 10hrs to 1hr. if you are going somewhere that takes more than 10hrs, it gets reeeally boring and probably not worth the money you save from not flying

  • you can not play polo in a plane, you can on a deck of the ship if you bring it in a bike bag to your room ;)

  • Just thinking about playing polo on a boat makes me feel queasy.

    Sounds rad though.

  • knife fights in a container

    Youth. Wasted on the young.

  • Check this out. To give an idea of scale. This was from the Shoreditch Invitational in 2008, probably the first really proper international tournament in London:
