• Amazing event, it was a very thrilling to watch. Some real talent you guys have :-D

  • Thanks London for this sunny bikepolo week end. Really sorry we had to leave before the grand final and last games of the winner tourney. We had lots of fun. Jono, Ali, Erin, thanks for housing.. We ll come back soon, it s always a pleasure to see you guys

  • Thanks everyone involved this weekend it was great! courts were amazing (surface and build.) weather was nice. The whole event was run perfectly. Playing the Hooks was awesome. Polocat was also pretty awesome, thanks hassan for some rad lines...

  • Thanks to everyone who contributed to what has been the best weekend of the year. The courts and venue could not have been better, the organisation of both days seemed faultless and playing/watching the games was incredible. The double final was something else! Too many highlights to get my sunburnt head around! Amazing.

  • Thanks to all involved, really impressive setup, organization, and courts. London raised the bar again! My favorite bits:

    • Rupert's shot that bounced off the basketball post back into the net.
    • hearing someone ask Chan if "old man bill" was the old man in yellow standing above the chalk writing. Chan please post a pic!
    • Hugo's incredible last minute save from the right side of the goals, hopefully Brendan has it on video
    • Alfie
    • James' clever mix of our two team names: "Touch My Uprising"
    • and of course*** the return of the legendary hardcourt bike polo team*** - big props to my Hassan and Max, we had a lot of fun playing.
  • Cm'on! who won ?

  • Cm'on! who won ?

    We all won

  • Ill Pigs had a brilliant first tournament - the spirit of the polo community is second to none and London did a fantastic job of organising everything, thankyou so much! Even losing a crank bolt at 1:30am and cycling home one footed didn't dampen my weekend and the high standard of play from the other Ladies (go Tornadoes!) has encouraged me as a newbie to keep at it. We met some lovely people who hopefully we will see again in Brussels and Berlin - we didn't break anything thank god so ride starts tomorrow! www.brumtoberlin.com

    Big love for polo! X

  • This was awesome. I have lots to say but will have to save it for now.
London you rock. Best set up eva! Massive thankyou.
    Good times.

Poirot's keys are safe and sticky.
    Hands on pints...
That was hilarious. Especially seeing Mat's own keys hanging around his neck and in his pint...

Tom, B, Rik, Em....jeez! Too good.

Team Cosmic I love you x

  • Cm'on! who won ?

Supersonic, in 2 games over Call Me Daddy, who hadn't lost a game until the final.

  • I think we should make Franglais the official language of polo.

  • I think we should make Franglais the official language of polo.

    Oh dear

  • That was hilarious. Especially seeing Mat's own keys hanging around his neck and in his pint...

    :)

  • As a beginner this was an awesome introduction to tourneys. Had a great weekend, and learned so much. The finals were a real highlight, made even better by the MCR heckles, too funny.

  • Best polo tournament I have been to. Jono, you're a fucking genius, and London bike polo is absolutely the best.

  • Thanks everyone, Sheffield had an excellent time and it was good to see so many UK teams from outside of London present to gauge how we are progressing. Bill (& Anna), thanks for hosting us and see you all again soon hopefully.

  • tourists want to play later on. Maybe souths for the two courts and the lights

temp Courts at downs are down now, thanks for people's help

i have pix of the lower tourney bracket.

  • I'll give you fifty quid if you delete those pix, Kev... ;)

  • i loved andys megaphone work, rather than make each game feel like a chore, something we had to get on with, he delivered each whip with a ringmasters touch of excitement!

  • Thanks london, my good old chum. you really did put on an epic weekend. i lost my voice from shouting shit court-side, but it was the best polo i've seen and hard not to get enthusiastic about.
i have some photos here, nothing fancy.
thanks to all i played with and played against, thanks to all that bought a steel city tee, thanks to bill & anna for the floor space, tea and toast, thanks to jono, mark, andy, john, and anyone else who shoe-horned all the games into the daylight hours. brilliant work guys and girls. see you soon. x

  • What happened with Podium?

  • London always steps up and I think the hallmark of a great tourney is it just seems to flow.

Kudos to the London polo community for stepping up and doing all the unseen thankless jobs and of course massive thanks to Jono who manages to make it all happen with a smile

[personal thanks from me to spaghoops for spending many hours over a hot laser cutter to make a cracking trophy again this year]

  • Thank you London for the best polo weekend ever! Mcr realy enjoyed it.
Special thanks to all the people who played against Hassan and me in our mega huge tap out.
I will really miss the UK polo scene.

  • A triumph indeed!
