Thanks a lot London for yet another awesome tournament, the venue was incredible. Thanks to Mrak for putting me up, to Asbo for our last tourney as a three, and to the polish bloke on the train who's given me free beer

I don't really know where to start, we had an amazing time this weekend. The few games we played today were awesome, Dam Cosmic first thing this morning and then DTGPique knocking us out a few rounds later, whatever disappointment to lose those games is totally eclipsed by the learning experience and chance to play teams from not only outside of our usual local scene, but the fact it also draws teams from Europe and further afield is amazing. For whatever it's worth, I think we've maybe played each member of DTGPique on other teams before to mixed results but today you guys totally clicked as team and unquestionably crushed us! Nice one, it was great fun.
We had a wrong result taken yesterday and at the time was a little disappointed (I can't help but feel it might be polo karma for me not paying enough attention during a game at the Euro qualifiers) but it's also just a reminder that everyone running this thing are human. To hold down an event of this scale, everyone organising the format and just everything in general so it just 'clicked' on the day must have been an enormous undertaking, mega mega thanks to the London community as a whole for making it work as well as it did. The ones to watch tournament was a great thing, the fact that everyone got through to play knock outs of some sort today was really awesome.
With regards to reffing, I think the system of reffing after the game rather than before worked really well. The winners/losers reffing takes care of any question as to whos job it is and reffing after a game was just felt better because I felt still alert and awake after the game, rather than it interfering with any pre–game talk or warm ups. The patience of the teams on court while we are reffing is really appreciated also, the fact that a lot of us are new at this and still learning is still kind of intimidating and we do make mistakes (again Rich, sorry about earlier) I'd like to think we're all getting better and more confident at some rate.
So I think I'm done gushing, again mega thanks from me/us and lots of love for UK polo (and our European guests!)

Mark, literally not a problem. You did a great job of taming the wild format beast. Thanks again.

Thanks to: Jono. Ali, Mrak, Nik, Max (dick even if it its chalk) Kev, Tom, Erin, Bill, MC lebowski, All the volunteers (sorry if my hangover can't pick out names). The out of town players that came to make it such spectacle and always make our family feel bigger and stronger each time. Jacob for slotting in perfectly, EmVeePee. Best goal was the 'alley oop' over macro rakete. … And just two things out of hundreds that make london polo so creative, good natured and hilarious. 'burst the vest' and 'hercule poirots keys' my face aches with glee.
