  • Hello opera thread.

We have one ticket free for this Glyndeborne trip, if anyone is interested. Maybe two, if @dumps other half is not free?

    £59 for a mo-fo box.

  • Defo two. Mrs Dumps is no-can-do for the 10th.

  • My friend Alex would like a ticket but is likely to get the train down cos she's not a regular cyclist and only has an old Raleigh 3 speed.

  • I might be game. When do I need to let you know by?

  • Oh, hold on: what are we seeing?

  • Don Pasquale

  • Never Mind. Alex can't do the 10th after all.

  • It'd be best to hold out for an all cycling group. My friend Robert may well be up for it and will cycle. I'm seeing him today so I'll ask.

@dan the sooner the better really since I don't want to leave it hanging if we can avoid it.

  • @dumps shall I refund you her cost or are you OK to sort out with whoever takes the ticket, maybe @dan?

  • Don't worry - happy to carry it for the interim. Sure we'll be fine.

  • I am still looking for two people to join our jaunt to Glyndebourne. October the 10th, cycling down, train back, Don Pasquale.

    LFGSS private box.

    £59 each.

    Roll up, roll up. @dan?

  • @mashton I'm in sounds like a jolly jaunt

  • Oh sorry. last ticket now gone. Reckon we'll do it again though!

  • Lols, just figured out who you are.

    Hello Kate.

  • Barber of Seville at the ENO - any good? We have date night in a few weeks.

  • So, booking opens for Autumn tour performance Monday 8am. Butterfly and Don Giovanni.

    Who's in @mashton @hats @T4NY4 @ⒷⓆ ?

  • Yesssss.

  • I've never seen Butterfly.

  • I shall consider it most carefully. Butterfly that is. Mozart can piss right off.

  • My better half went to see the ENO production the other day and loved it. There should be cheaper tickets around given the ongoing drama at the Coliseum.

  • Confused: are we talking about Glyndebourne or ENO. Or both?

  • Was just pointing out the current opportunity to see Butterfly, as you mentioned you hadn't seen it.

Tho obviously this thread is now Glyndebourne or GTFO.

  • So, @dumps, can you take the lead on grabbing some tickets?

As I found last year, a box was a good way to go. Sure we can fill it.

  • Happy to take the lead on tickets. There was something funny going on with the dates last time I checked, but will have another look this morning.
